What is humility? With just eight days until Christmas, it’s easy to get swept up in battling for the best parking spots. But what if we paused to refocus? Instead of getting caught in the “trappings” of the season, we could embrace its deeper truths of humility, patience, and putting others first. These qualities don’t just transform how we experience the holidays and the shape of how we impact those around us. In the picture is the Christmas tree at Asurion headquarters in the Gulch at Nashville. At my work we’re encouraged to approach our work with humility and a low ego. The most important person in the room isn’t always the leader; it’s often the one whose ideas spark solutions or guide the team forward. True collaboration comes from embracing diverse perspectives and working together with respect. Humility reminds us the season isn’t about us. Imagine walking into each interaction, not with “Here I am,” but with “How can I help?” Patience allows us to extend grace whether it’s during long lines or rush-hour traffic. And focusing on others, even through small acts like offering a smile or letting someone take the better parking spot, spreads joy in meaningful ways. This year, let’s redefine how we celebrate. By shifting from “me-centered” to service and connection, we can rediscover the magic that makes this season so special. #Humility #HolidayJoy #ServeOthers

Night at the Movies: A Work Christmas Party to Remember! When your workplace culture inspires this much effort for a Christmas party, you know you’re part of something truly special. This year’s Night at the Movies theme didn’t just bring out great costumes—it brought out the heart of who we are as a team. From a handmade Up house, complete with balloons floating high, to a beautifully recreated Ghost pottery scene, the creativity on display was incredible. As for me? I went full classic cinema with a twist—the pixelated shower scene. Hitchcock would be proud... or maybe not! But this night wasn’t just about costumes. It was about what they represented: Passion: Whether at work or at play, this team gives 100 percent—proof that our culture thrives on creativity and commitment. Connection: The best part? Some costumes were even crafted together during arts-and-crafts catch-ups, turning teamwork into laughter-filled memories that brought us closer. From brainstorming ideas to admiring everyone’s creativity, it felt like a celebration of how much we genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Empowerment: When people feel valued, they bring their whole selves to everything—even to the dance floor. Watching everyone let loose, laugh, and enjoy the night showed just how much confidence and support we draw from this team. To my incredible teammates: you’re the reason this workplace is so much more than just a job. Whether we’re tackling big challenges, sharing laughs, or re-creating iconic movie scenes, we’re lifting each other higher every step of the way. Here’s to a workplace that inspires creativity, connection, and just the right amount of cheeky fun. #NRMA #WorkCulture #ChristmasParty #Gratitude

“To gift or not to gift.” That is the question. On the one hand, thoughtful gifts can magnify your influence by demonstrating appreciation and building goodwill. But, gifts that are overly extravagant or poorly targeted can actually create a negative reaction. Remember Clark Griswold’s jelly of the month club? So, how do you navigate the delicate balance of holiday giving in the workplace? 3 things: 1. Align with Company Culture: Be mindful of your company's policies and culture regarding gift-giving to ensure your gestures are appropriate and well-received. 2. Personalize Thoughtfully: Tailor your gifts to the recipient's interests and preferences to show genuine thoughtfulness and consideration. 3. Maintain Professionalism: Keep your gifts professional and aligned with your working relationships, emphasizing appreciation rather than obligation. Additionally, sharing stories behind the gifts or incorporating elements that reinforce team goals can further enhance the impact. Ultimately, it's about creating a meaningful gesture that connects with others on an emotional level, helping to build stronger relationships and a better workplace culture of gratitude and collaboration. #magnifyinfluence #workplace #holidaygifts #influence #companyculture #professionalrelationships #mymarketingmap

"𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲” As we gather around our metaphorical workplace tables this week, let’s think about what it takes to make people genuinely thankful to work where they do. 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘳: It’s not free turkey sandwiches or casual Fridays. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲? 📋 Clear expectations, so employees know what they’re working toward. 🤝 Respect for boundaries, because everyone deserves to enjoy their dinner (or life) without email interruptions. 🔥 A culture that doesn’t just talk about “family values” but actually practices them—no drama, no rug-sweeping, and no petty behavior that kills morale. Gratitude isn’t just about saying “thank you.” It’s about building workplaces where people feel valued every day—not just during a holiday speech. So, as you dig into your pie this week, ask yourself: Are you giving your team reasons to be thankful? Or are you piling on the workplace equivalent of canned cranberry sauce—fine, but nobody’s excited about it? 🍂 🔆𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹? 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄! And Stay Tuned for some more explicit content coming next week around these topics! 😎

🎁 Creating a Culture of Gratitude 💙 The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on how gratitude plays a role in workplace culture. A simple “thank you” can go a long way in making someone feel valued. I’ve seen firsthand how acknowledging even the smallest contributions can spark innovation and foster a sense of belonging. During one of our company Holiday parties, I organized a team appreciation time where we shared stories of each other’s impact on the group. It wasn’t just a feel-good moment that also brought some laughs; it strengthened our bond and encouraged us to bring our best to the table every day. How do you cultivate gratitude in your workplace? Whether it’s a handwritten note, a shout-out during a meeting, or simply saying “thanks,” I’d love to hear your ideas! ✨️Let’s make gratitude a daily habit in 2025!✨️

It's the first Feel Good Friday of Fall! 🍂 As the seasons transition, pause to take it all in. Savor the moments you had, plan for more. ☀️Maybe you reflect on the joyful moments or experiences you had this summer? 🍁Or plan for experiences you want to ensure not to miss during Fall? Seasons also shift activities in our workflow too. Notice what went well. Use the positivity to fuel you for what is upcoming. For me, I love Summer so this transition of seasons is not always exciting. Plus, Q4 in the world of HR can be pretty intense. So, pausing to reflect and celebrate is important. 🔸I'm celebrating the pace I had for summer and am curious how that is shifting with the season change. 🔸I traveled this week and already saw some beautiful leaves changing and captured the scene along the river on a morning walk. 🔸I'm celebrating a successful project completion, that included great client feedback. 🎉What are you celebrating this week? Share with us, so we can celebrate with you!! #FeelGoodFriday #Celebrate #Success

🎄 Christmas Party Reflections 🎄 So, I’m at this festive holiday party, enjoying the vibe, when the company starts recognizing employees who’ve been there 15, 20, 25+ years. Naturally, I’m impressed, but also curious—what makes someone stay that long? Curiosity got the best of me, so I hopped on LinkedIn to check out one of the honorees. Their title? Client Coordinator—the same role for decades. Without judging (seriously, no shade), I couldn’t help but wonder: Is this a generational thing? It’s fascinating to me how people in the 45–65 age group tend to stick with one company—often in the same role—for most of their career. Contrast that with Millennials and Gen Z, who are all about climbing ladders, switching industries, and reinventing themselves. So, what’s driving this difference? Is it: • Generational values? • Cultural expectations? • Personal choice? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s talk—what motivates your career moves? Is longevity in one role something we should aspire to, or is the new norm all about evolving? (Oh, and if you want to catch a recap of the party vibes, find me on TikTok . 🎥) #career #howlongdoyoustay #bestdecisions #corporatelatter #ashleighelizabeth

Building your company's culture does not need to be time-consuming. But it does need to be consistently affirmed. Small inputs can lead to a sustained output.
Big impact does not always require immense effort. Last month we started a new tradition in the office to celebrate employees' birthdays and work anniversaries. As our team grows, traditions need to evolve. With 23 employees, 46 individual birthday and anniversary parties becomes unrealistic. In December, we started writing people’s names on small brown bags on a table in our office, alongside some pens and sticky notes. During the month, employees will write words of encouragement and appreciation, placing them in the brown bags. On the last day of the month, the bag’s namesake takes their brown bag as they leave the office. Our management team didn’t know what to expect. We thought it would be appreciated by the individuals. We hoped the team would participate. They’ve been a hit! Here’s what we’ve found: 1) Knowing people are writing notes for their brown bag has made almost as big an impact on our team as reading the specific words said about them. People with an event during a given month are net more excited for the entire month. – Even if you don’t have the time or space to tell someone specifically why you appreciate them, making them aware goes a long way. 2) “Joy bombs” - For many people, receiving a single piece of encouragement during a day or even a week can feel special. Reading 20 affirmations all at once from people that know you well creates an overflowing sense of positivity. The feeling stays long after the month ends. – You might not be able to commit to a large number of small things during a year. But could you find one time to put in a little more effort to enable a joy bomb? They leave a meaningful mark! 3) Encouragement is contagious. Seeing other people write a note for a brown bag often sparks others to do the same. An employee knowing they have a brown bag month coming up energizes them to “golden rule” their co-workers. – If you’re leading a team or in a group or relationship, all you need is a spark. A flame of what you’re looking for can be created with a single ember.

I tried to burn the mantra "How I can help" into the psyche of the group I lead at Asurion. This mantra was the doorway to adding value to our company's work. My team didn't always have the benefit of writing that cool widget that made our subscriber's journey outstanding, instead, we were the mechanics in the belly of the ship, making sure all the planes could fly. And the only way to do that was by finding ways to help the engineering teams do their job better, faster, and more reliably. Helping people solve their problems is a virtue I will carry from my time at Asurion.
