Retrofitting vintage luminaires requires a balance of sensitivity and practicality, preserving heritage spaces while prolonging the useful lives of buildings. It is often desirable to keep existing structures and luminaires in place. For this reason, Thorlux can provide tailored retrofits to replace the lamps and covers and re-engineer the luminaire’s chassis to keep it in service. Thorlux can also produce bespoke LED circuit boards if required (subject to quantity). A renovated lighting scheme must provide sufficient light levels and uniformity across a space. When restricted by a point-for-point replacement scheme, the retrofit lighting gear must fit the space available and supply the right amount of lighting in the right places.
