Palace of Versailles – Countless palace buildings were modelled after this UNESCO World Heritage Site until the 19th century. Special BEGA LED in-ground luminaires contribute to its appropriate staging. Two almost identical luminaires, which are barely distinguishable from the outside and create a harmonious overall look, take on very different lighting tasks at the palace proper and in the landscaped parks. After a spectacular weekend for The Agency RE in Portugal, with the inauguration of two new offices in Cascais and Vilamoura, in the Algarve, and great celebrations with the visit of our CEO @mumansky18, it is with great pride that we have the enormous responsibility to present this Estate with a lot of history, a true gem in the heart of Sintra.
Sintra, a refuge for kings, nobles, and artists, described as a "glorious paradise" by Lord Byron, is considered by UNESCO as a unique landscape in the world.
This Estate that we present is an example of the charms of Sintra. The property includes the mansion of a Portuguese Noble family, a romantic and magnificent composition from the late 19th century, as well as the servants' houses, stables, and the guards' house.
Located at the top of the property, the mansion offers impressive views of the foothills of the Sierra and even Lisbon. The built complex is rich and varied, with eclectic architecture typical of the period: large and refined halls, frescoes, stuccoes, solid wood floors and ceilings, all in excellent condition.
Two lush gardens filled with exotic vegetation and romantic corners make up the scenery: one terraced, French-inspired, and the other flatter, English-inspired. Fountains, tanks, pergolas, belvederes, a chapel, dovecote, water mines, a pool, a sports field, a forest with a lake, and a small island are some of the elements found throughout the property.
With an approved rehabilitation and expansion project, the Estate can be equipped with more than 30 suites and a large service area. In total, the property has 5,542 m² of built area and 59,200 m² of land.

Projecting out from a steep, rugged mountainside, this house commands a panoramic view over the valley that contains Mexico’s industrial center. From the shade of the elongated porte cochere, the visitor is left to discover and contemplate the beauty that lies below. Deceptively cantilevered far out over the mountainside, an edgeless triangular plane of cool, aquamarine water appears suspended weightless in space. This reflecting pool doubles as the water cooled roof of the house. A temple like observation pavilion, perched at the farthest corner of the pool, tempts visitors to a refuge that seems supported by the sky. A monumental set of stone steps leads enigmatically into the depths of the cool areas below, like an ethereal portal to an underwater world. Directly below, the house seems to emerge from the very stone of the mountain. Overlapping layers of open lattice walls, colonnades, and glass allow breezes to filter through softly and create rich patterns of light and shadow. Each room within opens completely onto broad covered terraces and balconies to the outdoors, which capture the natural breezes and create cool, shaded areas for the family’s daily activities.

When deciding where to take visitors out on the town in St. Louis, few attributes are more critical to the process than the overall vibe, mood, or atmosphere of wherever you choose. Where can prospects – particularly reluctant ones – feel they’re potentially moving somewhere cool, cosmopolitan, or even chic? Over the years, we’ve found that the faithful handful of seal-the-deal options always seem to have one thing in common: they’re properly lit for the occasion.
But here’s the rub: instead of a handful, there could be SO many more if only we could find the dimmer switch!
