Is it our job or responsibility? Probably not. Will anything change if we don't try? Probably not. When starting SEND Dads, we didn't want a group where we just moan and complain - we do a fair bit of that don't get me wrong. But, we all want to channel our frustrations into positive action. Main stream schools are dangerously underequipped to cope with the additional needs of many pupils. 1 in 6 children require additional support which, in many cases, isn't the best. It's no reflection on the schools or teachers, most we speak to know the short comings and do the best they can with the funding they receive. Our aim is to provide fit for purpose sensory equipment to schools that need it, too many stories of kids being isolated in cupboard type rooms or cloakrooms. What chance do these children have if 50% of their waking day is spent in the most uninspiring of places. With that, our first fundraiser is tackling Snowdon on the 27th September. Like most things bloke related, we have left the planning a little late! But please reshare and donate if you can. Education in rural areas is still a far-fetched dream. According to the surveys, most rural people are daily wage laborers. These are the people who struggle for their meals, let alone their children’s education. These are the people worst hit by the pandemic and the lockdown, whom we are trying to help. With a vision of extending this support, we have launched a campaign to support the education of children in tribal rural area.
