✔ What tasks are you doing all day? ✔ What should you be doing that is critical to the mission? ✔ What brings you joy? ✔ And what are you naturally good at, and what are you not great at? These are all questions that Michele Cheatham is walking us through as we try to re-align our organizational chart. Home Sweet Home STL is poised for some exponential growth in the region, and we have some exceptionally talented people on our team. So we are taking a moment to make sure we are all doing what we are good at -- BEFORE we start to add to the team. Growth + talented team members = good problems! ************************************* PS - That "mess" you see on the floor is confetti as we celebrated some wins this weekend. I keep it around as a reminder of what we have accomplished. 😍

Gen Z, we're early in our careers, which means we have a world of opportunities. But we're only as good as our last success. The last big project that was a big win. The last presentation where you killed it. The last time you solved a huge problem saving everyone time. We shouldn't let ourselves lose motivation. Instead we should use our wins to move forward. I've been complacent. Patting myself on the back for a win that's months old. Not using that momentum. That's what you shouldn't do. Take what you've done and compound it. You can always do better. While still appreciating your wins and accomplishments. This means taking time to celebrate. And still looking towards the future. What was your last big win?

Every quarter at Christex Foundation, we (staff) share our personal goals, team milestones, & future aspirations. The aim? To align individual ambitions with team & organizational objectives. This helps us gain insight into one another’s goals, expectations, & progress on both a personal & organizational level. I see careers as both a team & individual sport. And I believe treating it like that is a better way to play the long-term career game that gets you from where you are at, to where you want to be.
