As specialist brickwork contractors, we may be slightly biased, but we love seeing bricks used in construction as much as possible. What are some of the benefits of bricks? Let us fill you in 👇 🧱 Bricks have excellent thermal mass, meaning they slowly absorb and release heat. 🧱 Bricks provide a feeling of solidarity and firmness due to their excellent sound insulation and high-compressive strength. 🧱 Bricks resist wear and tear incredibly well, with the ability to release and absorb moisture which helps regulate humidity levels. 🧱 Bricks come in a wide variety of materials, sizes, textures, colours and finishes. This gives the unique opportunity to personalise a build. #Brickwork #Bricks #Build #Architecture #Contractor #BrickworkContractor #Construction #Bricklayer #Bricklayers #ConstructionNorthWest #NorthWestConstruction

Why are bricks so useful for building? These are just some reasons: 🧱 Bricks are energy efficient because they hold sunlight throughout the day and release that energy after the sun goes down. 🧱 There are face bricks, common bricks, paving bricks, fire bricks, and refractory bricks – each designed for a specific purpose. 🧱 Bricks can withstand extreme temperature changes and are considered to be one of the most durable building products. 🧱 Bricks do not rot, dent, or need to be painted, so they are extremely low maintenance and long-lasting. #Brickwork #Bricks #Build #Architecture #Contractor #BrickworkContractor #Construction #Bricklayer #Bricklayers #ConstructionNorthWest #NorthWestConstruction

On-site construction is a process where your garage or shed is built directly on your property rather than being delivered as a fully pre-built structure. This method is ideal for larger projects, properties with unique layouts, or when a concrete foundation is needed. If you have tricky terrain or specific design needs, on-site construction could be the right solution. https://hubs.ly/Q02MxfDr0 #detachedgarage #backyardshed

How will long will it take to build a home using an insulated solid wall construction method like ICF? As with any property you will need to wait for planning permission on your design. Once you have approval and the foundations are laid to design specification, work can immediately start on the wall. To construct the walls, the ICF blocks quickly lock into place through a profiled edge and there is no need for a bedding material such as mortar. With ICF you typically need to build in stages (usually to first floor height) before pouring concrete in a central cavity. Once the concrete has set you continue with the next stage. The speed and simplicity of the system means it’s possible to complete the walls of a straightforward single storey building in as little as 3 days!! #ICF #ICFA #SpeedofBuild #SpeedOfContruction https://lnkd.in/dNHwV75

The Beam and Block flooring system offers a significant advantage by eliminating the need for additional BRC (British Reinforcement Concrete) and steel reinforcement. This is achieved through the use of prestressed beams, which are reinforced with high-tensile steel during manufacturing. These prestressed beams provide the necessary strength and durability, removing the requirement for extra reinforcement on site. This not only streamlines the construction process but also translates to considerable cost savings. By reducing the need for supplementary materials and labor, Beam and Block flooring becomes a more cost-efficient and time-saving solution for ground floor slabs. #strongslabs #strong #durable #SustainableConstruction #ecoconcrete #beamandblock #measurements #buildkenya #buildbetter #buildgreen #concrete #concretefloors #precast #prestressed #constructionsite #housebuilding #architecture #design #building #interiordesign #renovation #engineering
