Let’s explore granulation process how powder APIs are prepared for tablet or capsule production. The trial was conducted with placebo powder during FAT, it closely mirrors actual process. Granulation involves several steps, from material transfer to the preparation of API. Here's an overview of key stages: ✔️ Material Dispensing: Materials or granules are dispensed into pharma bins, which transfer contents to vibro sifter. ✔️ Vibro Sifter: Material is sifted using mesh screens to ensure uniform particle size. Sifted material is then transferred to Rapid Mixer Granulator. ✔️ Rapid Mixer Granulator: Here, actual granulation occurs, combining active ingredients with excipients to form a uniform mixture. The mixture is then transferred through an inline co-mill into fluid bed dryer. ✔️ Fluid Bed Dryer: This step uses hot air from the FBD AHU system to fluidize and dry granules, ensuring proper moisture removal. The dried material is then milled and transferred into a bin. ✔️ Multi-mill: During this process, dried material is finely milled to ensure uniform particle size. Any larger particles are broken down, resulting in a consistent powder. ✔️ Blending: The material is transferred to a blender, where it undergoes blending to ensure homogeneity.
