Technicians have a variety of skills you may be unaware of. Here are a few: - Electrical knowledge Techs need to understand how electricity works and what is required for a specific device. They have to have the knowledge of an electrician and the skills of an engineer. - Mechanical understanding Techs must know how things like how gears, motors and solenoids work. We are the mechanics of this industry. - Advanced computer skills This is more than just using apps. We have to understand, really understand, how a computer works, physically and electronically. We must understand drivers, software, networks, security protocols and sometimes programming. - Customer Experience We need to have the ability to speak about issues and solutions people who may not fully understand. We must have the capacity to be patient with others while having the savvy of a sales rep. As you can see, we offer a lot to our customers and companies. We are the electrician, mechanic, IT and sales all wrapped into one package.
