Revisiting one of my favorite sessions from SaaStr Europa on YouTube (link bellow): From PLG to PLG+PLS: How Lucid Scaled to Serve 70+ Million Users Globally, featuring insights from Stephanie Couzin and Roderick de Greef. Lucid, a leading provider of virtual collaboration software, has achieved remarkable growth with over 70 million users worldwide. They shared key milestones from the early stages of their product-led motion, emphasizing three crucial principles: 1- Easy, fast path to value 2- Simple pricing and seamless expansion 3- Widespread discoverability Lucid invested significantly in integrations from day one, joining ecosystems and enabling customers to natively integrate Lucid with the tools they work with, like AWS and Salesforce. This strategy boosted user experience and customer acquisition, with their marketplace now featuring over 100 apps. These principles were integral to their growth strategy and paved the way for securing their first enterprise customer. Their approach to integrations reminded me of the success stories from our embedded customers' PLG journeys. For instance, Jivochat, a conversational platform, saw a 20% increase in LTV and gained 1,500 new users in a year. Climbo, a reputation management SaaS, saw the conversion rate from free to premium grow by 28% just months after implementation.
