#Founders are being taught to “Solve a problem” and it's leading to startup failures!📉 It's too vague and it’s ruining founders! Simply solving a problem won’t make you successful!😖 Here’s why I say that and what founders really need to address.🤔 First, “problem” is vague. For example: ➡️ Who, specifically, has the problem? ➡️ How many people have this problem? ➡️ How serious is the problem? ➡️ Is the problem related to a frequent or infrequent use case? ➡️ How would someone value a solution to this problem? On top of that, “solution” is vague. Since there are no “perfect-one-size-fits-all” solutions... ❓ How, specifically, will the buyer’s situation be better? ❓ How meaningful is the new outcome from the status quo outcome? ❓ Will there be non-financial costs associated with adopting this solution? ❓ How will your “solution” be different from anyone else’s? I’ve seen hundreds of pitches that “solve a problem”, but which don’t get sales traction.😭 The “problem” is the starting point, but not enough to know what people will pay for or why they should buy from you. ⚖️ It’s important that you start with something people want to change (it might be a problem).
