One bright, sunny day last year I had the pleasure of catching up with one of our longest standing VAs. I was curious to know how things were now that we had really forged ahead with our fully #remote #distributed team strategy. He shared that being able to work from home had its benefits. But… He missed the sense of fun, camaraderie, collaboration, and the variety he got when he worked in the office. He used to meet new people as they were hired. To mix with all sorts of interesting others. And to get a lift from the sometimes heavy work of being a virtual assistant. We talked about the fact that he can still use our fantastic offices in Cebu and Manila. But that didn't quite get to the root of what he was feeling. What he was feeling was disconnection from the physical variety of meeting new people. And so was born the 'Munch n' Mingle' concept. 1️⃣ Every month, we run a dinner for 10 people. 2️⃣ Invites go out to those who have not yet attended one for the year. 3️⃣ Team members from our 350-strong community rsvp. 4️⃣ They show up. Get to mingle. 5️⃣ Share food, fun and laughs with other TVH'ers they usually have never met before. Feedback is strong. Delight is high! The platform is set for us to push this idea even further next year. → Clubs → Meetups → Social events → And lots more! All designed to get people together to foster connection, fun, culture and community. 🚀 #collaboration #companyculture
