The ELO₂ team is proud to be designing and building a lunar rover right here in Australia. This project, under the Australian Space Agency's Moon to Mars Initiative: Trailblazer Program, is actively contributing to NASA's Artemis campaign and will deliver lunar services that demonstrate Australia's capabilities in autonomous robotic systems and remote operations. The ELO₂ team brings together talents from across the country, each bringing specialised skillsets to aid the design and development of the Trailblazer rover. From developing the mission concept, systems requirements and architecture definition, to prototyping, manufacturing, testing and preliminary design - all of this work has been undertaken in Australia. Gaining exposure to sophisticated R&D activities over the past year, ELO₂ team members' expertise has evolved, and new globally competitive STEM and manufacturing skills have been cultivated.
