#Ramadan is a time when #muslims are reminded of their duty to help those in need and to show compassion towards their fellow human beings. Charity holds a special significance during Ramadan, as it is believed that the rewards for good deeds are multiplied during this blessed month. Muslims are encouraged to engage in various forms of charity. There are many ways to practice charity during Ramadan, such as donating money to charitable organisations, volunteering at a local organisation, homeless shelter, or simply helping out a neighbor in need. Many mosques and Islamic centers also have programs in place to collect donations and distribute them to those in need. One important aspect of #charity during Ramadan is #zakat , which is a mandatory form of giving for all Muslims who meet certain criteria. Zakat is a specific amount of money or assets that are given to those in need, including the poor, the needy, and those who are in debt. Another form of charity during Ramadan is to simply offer kind words or a smile to someone in need. Overall, charity during Ramadan is an essential part of the Muslim faith and an important way to show gratitude and compassion towards others. By giving generously and helping those in need, Muslims can reap the spiritual rewards of this blessed month and make a positive impact in their communities. Not forgetting the rituals of prayer and fasting this month.. #ramadanmubarak

Islam suggests you make your money move. You pay zakat. You can do charity (sadaqah). You can give away a loan (qarz e hasana). You can invest money (mudaraba) in someone to do business. You can create an endowment (waqf) for ongoing charitable causes. You can spend in the way of Allah (infaq), including on family and community. You can help repay others’ debts. They are prioritized in the same order too, and the reward (sawab) is higher as you go higher in the list. Make the money move. Serve people. Serve the ummah. #FinancialResponsibility #IslamTeachings

Ramadan Day 4 The Power of Giving: A Reflection on Charity during Ramadan As we journey through the blessed month of Ramadan, we are reminded of the profound significance of charity in Islam. It is a time when our hearts are open, and our spirits are heightened, allowing us to embrace the beautiful act of giving. In my faith, I have learned that charity holds a transformative power. It is not merely an act of generosity but a means of purifying our wealth and souls. The teachings emphasize that whatever we give in charity, we receive back manifold. This concept embodies the beauty of giving without expectation, knowing that the blessings returned to us far exceed what we initially offered. Muslims are encouraged to give a portion of their wealth, typically 2.5%, in charity annually. However, many go above and beyond this obligation, demonstrating the spirit of generosity ingrained in our faith. Whether it's donating to those in need, supporting charitable causes, or assisting communities, the act of giving is deeply rooted in Islam's ethos. Moreover, charity extends beyond monetary contributions. It encompasses giving our time, skills, and expertise to uplift others. Whether it's volunteering at a local shelter, mentoring someone in need, or simply offering a listening ear, every act of kindness is a form of charity. Indeed, the essence of charity lies not in the amount we give but in the intention and sincerity behind our actions. It is about sharing our blessings with others, irrespective of our own circumstances. As the saying goes, "The hand that gives is better than the hand that receives." So, let us embrace the spirit of generosity wholeheartedly. Let us not be afraid to give, for in giving, we not only impact the lives of others but also enrich our own souls. As we continue our journey through Ramadan, may we be inspired to give abundantly, knowing that the blessings of charity transcend the material realm. #RamadanDay4 #Charity #Generosity

Understanding Zakat in Islam Zakat is a special duty in Islam where you share some of your money to help others. It's about caring for those in need and making society fairer. Giving Zakat is important because it shows devotion to Allah and helps those who don't have enough. Its purpose is to make sure everyone has basics like food and shelter. To calculate Zakat, you count your money and give 2.5% of it after deducting debts and living costs. Zakat goes to groups like people with low incomes and those in debt. It helps make society more equal and brings people together. Giving Zakat during Ramadan is extra special and brings blessings. You can donate your Zakat through groups like Hub Al Quran, which ensures it reaches those in need. In conclusion, Zakat is about kindness and making the world a better place for everyone. I love actively contributing to charitable causes. Here I’m lending a hand in distributing food to the homeless and needy. Charity work is important across most faiths and it’s even more beautiful when we come together to bring about good. As a Muslim, I’m honoured with the duty of giving Zakat: a yearly charitable donation of 2.5% of one’s wealth, which is the 4th pillar of Islam. We believe it not only helps those less fortunate, but purifies wealth and guards against calamity. Let’s remember there are people less fortunate than us so always be kind and grateful and uplift those in need within your community 🫶🏼 As Muhammad Ali once said: “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth” 😎 Charitable ideas: 💡 donate to a charity, check out @wells.on.wheels or @matw_project (link in bio). 💡build a water well. 💡plant a tree. 💡donate your time by volunteering. 💡buy a homeless person a meal. 💡buy our dental book where 10% of profits goes to charity (link in bio). 💡 Smile! Even a smile is charity. What charitable act will you do today/weekly/monthly? #Islam #Zakat #Charity #Faith #Wednesday #supportingothers #charitywork #volunteering #volunteer

Many Canadians are surprised to learn their final tax bill may be almost half of their final year’s income. That is a sizable sum that you can, with proper planning, direct to the causes that matter most to you. In fact, naming charities as beneficiaries of your registered accounts could result in a big charitable tax credit on your final tax return. Naming charities as beneficiaries of your RRSP and RRIFs is also very easy to do. Let us help you discover ways to leave a legacy while benefiting your estate. https://bit.ly/HNWillPower #hospiceniagara #stcatharines #welland #niagara #forterie #niagarafalls #willpowerca #keepthelovegoing #legacy #youcanmakeadifference #willpower #ThisisHospiceNiagara
