During my talk on Waiheke last week I was asked how do I manage it all? Embracing the power of maramataka has been my secret to managing everything efficiently. For the past 5 years, I’ve aligned my energy and productivity with the phases of the moon. We are currently deep in Tangaroa phase, the last burst of energy before entering Whiro – the new moon for rest and reflection. After a week of intense travel and speaking events, I’m leveraging my natural high energy levels and ploughing through the workload - anticipating the upcoming dip during Whiro where my week will be less busy and focussed more on rest and planning for the month ahead. This method has proven invaluable, allowing me to balance and maximize productivity—sometimes achieving a month’s worth of work in just 5 days. Today is Waitangi Day, which marks the anniversary of the Treaty of Waitangi (6 February 1840), an agreement entered by representatives of the Crown and of Māori iwi. RANZCO’s Te Tiriti o Waitangi Action Plan aims to address eye health inequities for Māori people in Aotearoa through five key kaupapa: 1) Governance; 2) Workforce; 3) Data collection and management; 4) Cultural safety; and 5) Service delivery. Made in Italy brands will consequently be faced with a lack in skilled workforce in the years to come.  Altagamma has therefore developed a collaborative model aimed at reducing the supply and demand gap of professional profiles in the manufacturing industry.
