𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 It's been almost a year, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲. One aspect of my Service Year I hardly ever talk about is the PPA Struggle. Everyone thought I had it on lock, but truth is, I struggled a whole lot. I was thrilled about the opportunity to work with a particular Airline, but life had other plans. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘆, 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. This experience has taught me a few important lessons: 1. 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗱 – I got a placement that gave me new opportunities and experiences in the aerospace and aviation industry. 2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 – No matter how hard it was, I knew I had to work in the aerospace and aviation industry and this helped me scale through. 3. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 – My PPA challenges gave me a renewed purpose to help many others get aerospace and aviation Internships afterwards. Today, I’m more determined than ever to bridge the gap for aspiring professionals in Nigeria’s aerospace and aviation industry. I’m committed to sharing resources, opportunities, and insights to help others achieve their dreams.
