“You shouldn’t be so harsh!”
“You were so nice, they didn’t get your point!”
“Stop being so angry.”
“What about reverse discrimination?”
“ You were an apologist!”
“If you weren’t so mean, I’d want to listen.”
There is always some excuse given as to why we “white” folks refused to listen to the truth about our own behavior.
Each one of us “white” people respond differently and learn differently. As a special education teacher, I can attest to this.
It is important that we hear the same anti-racist ideology in many different different ways. But they’re all the same message.
Some people respond to kindness others respond to harshness, and most people are somewhere in between.
About 20 years ago, I was told that the only way to get “white” people to understand is to bite their heads off and leave them in shock. I was told I didn’t present anti-racism with urgency and power I was being an apologist.
“White” folks who want to learn and be part of the solution instead of the problem need to find way to join the steep, lifelong anti-racism continuum. Not every racist educator will suit your needs, but there is someone out there for you probably more than one.
The best thing of a “white” person can do who wants to learn is to listen to Black people when they speak. Take to heart what the have to say! Believe them. Empathize and then do it again and again and again.
LISTEN TO BLACK PEOPLE WHEN THEY SPEAK.
Black people in the United States live this every day. There is no one who knows better about how to solve the problems (caused by the “white” community) that face the Black community today.
It is imperative that we “white” folks stop scrutinizing the tone or the manner of the communication and start listening to the content!!
We must do introspection and educate ourselves so we stop perpetuating system systemic racism.
We don’t do this to be heroes or saviors or to get our picture on social media.
We do it because it’s the right way to act human and we too will benefit from it greatly in the long run.
It is way past time, “white” people take racial, responsibility and unite with Black, brown, Indigenous people, etc. and help to dismantle the system of oppression that people who look like us started and people who look like us benefit from!

Why did Malcolm X send King a telegram in ‘64? 🤔
St. Augustine FL (where the first free Black settlement in the U.S. is located) was the site of intense racist violence and subsequent protests. After seeing how hostile racists were being to our people (they were even throwing acid in pools), Malcolm felt the need to let King know that he’d send an army down there to help out if needed. So, let this dispel any rumors about any “beef” they had. And let it be known that Malcolm was REALLY about that life. And King was too for that matter, they just fought back differently. 💯
It’s collaboration over competition, y’all. How can we get there together? 🗣️
Did you know this??? 🤔

Why did King Charles III award Blackpink the Honorary MBEs, at Buckingham Palace? Wouldn’t it be consider to analyse this as a sociological approach, potentially based on Generation Z’s perception?

Twenty-three years ago today, Welles Remy Crowther '99 saved at least a dozen lives and he became known as the Man in the Red Bandanna. May his heroism and legacy continue to inspire. ❤️ #NeverForget
Breaking News: The Expose False Prophets, Series #1 is ready to view on YouTube. Christians, lets make this Christian video go viral. If the world can make a secular video of a profane comedian like Katt Williams go viral, surely we as true Christians can do the same as we share the gospel of Jesus, while exposing these false pastors and prophets one by one because they are leading millions of people to hell. https://lnkd.in/eCt4F56V
NOTHING IS " IMPOSSIBLE" TO ACCOMPLISH ! Simply because, I can learn by listening and recalling whatever I hear, see and/or read IRRESPECTIVE of person, place, subject, trade or circumstances that I pass by or with!
#yellowjournalism!
When we, the journalists and media personnel, are being biased, benefited or paid somehow for such assignments/ reports to intentionally expose all the negatives of a person, group, community, and/or state of target! Are not we and the power/ masterminds behind our fake/ false, reports, statements and propaganda tainted with unethical practices and against morality and/or humanity! If we, the reporters / media personnel ourselves, were really of moral character, sincere, honest and responsible enough about our professions , then why could we not speak with minimum impartially about the global political leaders who are accused and well known for committing crimes against humanity! We rather suppress all their ill motives, evil deeds with naked support , hypocrisy, double standard role, and thereby defending them and their evil deeds, always telling a lie with fake confidence, pride and even acting otherwise offensive from behind and behind the screen/scene secretly and cowardly!

The passing of Caribbean regionalist and internationalist, Sir Shridath Ramphal. Here is a video glimpse into his remarkable contribution to peace, justice, anti racism and equity in the world.

On this first Sunday morning of the new month of September 2024, I reflect on the timeless wisdom of Sir Shridath Ramphal, a global statesman, who was a son of Caribbean soil, whose words continue to resonate in our world today.
In his powerful speech on receiving the Medal of Honour from the Caribbean Court of Justice, he warned against the dangers of "excessive nationalism" as an old enemy of freedom. He urged us to transcend narrow self-interests and embrace a broader vision: to see ourselves as part of "one nation, one region, one world."
Reflecting on the recent race riots in the UK, the divisive rhetoric in the US and the wars and rumours of wars all over the world, Sir Shridath's message is more relevant than ever. In a world often divided by soft and hard borders, politics, and ideologies, his call to unity reminds us of our shared humanity and the collective responsibility we bear for our future. His vision of interconnectedness challenges us to rise above divisive rhetoric and work towards a global community where cooperation and mutual respect are the norms.
As we navigate the complexities of today's world, I for one want to carry forward Sir Shridath Ramphal's legacy of excellence, striving to reach higher levels of perception and attainment. In doing so, we not only honour his contributions but also lay the foundation for a more just, peaceful, and unified future.

But how is the winner being measured?
Lymsys.org invented Elo (Chess Tournament) rankings for LLMs.
Most benchmarks for LLMs measure academic measurements, similar to a SAT score, and are somewhat game-able.
Lymsys.org provides a different kind of rating. They have real users compare LLM responses side-by-side and provide subjective feedback - like a taste test.
And according to thousands of users... Claude 3 Opus "tastes" better than Chat GPT 4.

Kind, insightful, intelligent, thoughtful and compassionate feminist, business person, diversity, NFP and arts advocate and great colleague and friend. Governor General for the times. Go well Your Excellency Sam Mostyn AC.
Where Would I Be?
Sometimes we must pause and reflect,
Ask ourselves—where would I be?
Where would I stand if Dr. King hadn’t stood
With those workers in Memphis, fighting for dignity?
They faced horrific racism, as we always have,
Injustice woven deep into the seams of this land.
But where would I be if I stayed silent now,
When the same struggles persist in 2024’s hand?
Where would my son be? Where would his son stand,
If I don’t speak up so they can walk in the light?
And even if my voice costs me every opportunity,
I know my ancestors taught me to fight.
They taught me to rise, to be loud and unafraid,
I wouldn’t be who I am if King stayed still.
If Malcolm never roared, if they all chose silence,
I’d be lost, without the strength of their will.
I can’t sit quietly, as we are cast aside,
Treated unfairly, denied what is right.
For 400 years we have battled for justice,
And for 400 more, we’ll continue the fight.
So I charge ahead, knowing what’s at stake,
I’ll be the voice for those yet to be free.
Where would I be if they hadn’t fought?
I’ll fight, because they did—for me.
