“ Health care is unique in the sense that it is not simply a product that people are buying — nor do most of us want to be buying it!! Thus, the notion of a measure of repurchasing behavior does not quite work in health care: We do not want people buying more ER visits, but we do want to be improving quality, safety, outcomes, and experience as part of the value chain.” Are we being "loyal" to the #loyalty metrics we choose? Experience metrics should be chosen based on the brand promises and values identified by the organization, and the relationship to key outcome metrics, such as growth, health outcomes, and financial impact of referrals, should be evaluated in parallel."
