Have you ever listened to a podcast twice? Three times? I did recently. Last week, I mentioned how insightful the Learn-It-All podcast between Omar Halabieh, Damon Lembi, and Darren Bridgett. I blocked some time recently (yes, time blocking....again!) to listen to this podcast for the second and third times--and I had my work notebook and pen nearby these times! I want to drop a few notes to my network. 1: Mentorship is the ultimate career advantage, providing guidance and support in navigating unfamiliar situations. 2: Mentorship can have a significant impact on one's career, leading to better decision-making and problem-solving. 3: Finding a mentor requires courage, intentionality, and a willingness to ask for help. 4: Adopting a beginner's mindset and acknowledging uncertainty is essential for growth and development. 5: Humility and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for leaders to cultivate in themselves and others. I also want to drop a few action items I took from this podcast: First---Seek out mentorship 🧔 opportunities, whether formal or informal, to gain guidance and support in your career. Second--Develop a growth mindset 🧠 , acknowledging uncertainty and embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
