🌊 What would it take to weave equity principles within state offshore wind programs and policies? How can states build an engagement process between states and communities for offshore wind planning and development that prioritizes shared decision-making, co-design and co-implementation of solutions, shared benefits across all parties and investments in communities? 💚 Our CESA-hosted group of state agencies and community-based organizations has been working together on this topic for several years, first developing a scoping dialogue, building up to a workshop next week, and gearing up for a working group starting in the fall. 📣 We still have a few open spots for additional CBOs!! We are thrilled to announce that Ocean Installer has awarded CSUB the contract to deliver GRP covers for the "Eirin Tie-back to Gina Krog & Troll B Gas Export to Kvitebjørn Marine Operations" project in the North Sea 👏 This project, where Equinor is the operator, will enhance gas production and export capabilities in the region. Our GRP covers will ensure safe and efficient operations, providing reliable protection for subsea infrastructure throughout the field’s remaining lifetime 🌊 This contract underlines our commitment to delivering sustainable and reliable subsea solutions and highlights the good collaboration between OceanInstaller and CSUB. We look forward to contributing to the project’s success and further strengthening our partnership with Ocean Installer.

🎉 We are delighted to welcome bp’s Giorgia Carchitto as the chair of WFO's newly established PPA Committee! 🙌 Power Purchase Agreements (#PPAs) are vital to the long-term growth and economic sustainability of the industry. However, while PPAs can provide long-term price stability and facilitate financing which would otherwise be exposed to fluctuating electricity wholesale prices, every PPA is individually negotiated, which can be a complex, time-consuming, and expensive process. To help address this challenge, the WFO PPA Committee - open to all WFO members - aims to: 1. Promote global knowledge sharing on PPAs for offshore wind, 2. Simplify PPA negotiations between offshore wind farm operators and offtakers, 3. Address current regulatory frameworks and foster greater standardization of PPA contracts. Pax is leading the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) facilitation services for Climate First: Replacing Oil & Gas (CFROG's ) Community Air Quality Project, commencing with thorough planning and recruitment efforts, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and securing diverse representation from South Oxnard and Port Hueneme. Quarterly meetings through 2024 and semi-annually thereafter will be facilitated by Pax staff, promoting active engagement and productive discussions among TAC members through comprehensive preparation and documentation of agendas, materials, and minutes. Extensive pre- and post-meeting work will ensure the gathering of input, summarization of discussions, and timely follow-up on action items, fostering alignment with project goals and enriching stakeholder engagement.
