Aviation incidents/accidents are often the result of multiple factors. It is crucial to identify both active and latent factors to prevent such occurrences.

Double chocking the wheels during storms is often overlooked. Finding the necessary extra chocks at your stand during a storm is the next challenge. Airports often have the bare minimum number of chocks required at each stand.

#aircraft stability on ground. At #airbus I was responsible for providing recommendations for operations to exactly avoid these situations in operations. Aircrafts should be parked in specific directions with reference to the wind direction as specified by Chapter 1-10 of aircraft weight and balance manual. In this case it is almost 90 degrees to wind direction which is causing the aircraft to spin with the forces on the vertical tail creating moment about main landing gear.
