Did you catch Yann LeCun's recent podcast with Lex Fridman? Interesting insights - they explored the frontiers of AI and AGI capabilities, highlighting the differentiators that set Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) apart from Large Language Models (LLMs). As Hermann Hesse wisely said, "Words do not express thoughts very well...", which rings especially true for LLM-based GenAI capabilities. While impressive, they fall short in fully grasping context and nuance. AGI, on the other hand, holds the promise of true understanding and reasoning. What do you think sets AGI apart from current GenAI capabilities? #AGI #GenAI #LLMs #AI
New episode of the Lex Fridman Podcast with Yann LeCun is out now. In his third appearance on the podcast he discusses approaches to next generation AI systems, open source, the path to AGI and more.

Yann has advocated a compelling narrative for a long time that can be summarized as follows: Open source AI leads to transparency, involving more individuals in the creation and application of models, which in turn taps into the wisdom of the crowd, making AI significantly safer. #opensource #ai #yannlecunn
