Unlike common cancers such as breast, colorectal, and lung cancer, population-based screening for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in average-risk, asymptomatic individuals is currently not recommended, due to it being a relatively rare disease that can be difficult to diagnose, even when symptomatic.......The researchers concluded that selective surveillance of individuals at high risk for pancreatic cancer(genetic or family predisposition) may improve clinical outcomes.
Previous studies suggested that one or two alcoholic drinks per day may be linked to health benefits. Recently, scientists pointed out flaws in some of the studies that led to those conclusions. An analysis of 107 longitudinal studies with a total of approximately 4.8 million participants concluded that low-volume alcohol drinking is NOT associated with a significant decrease in all-cause mortality, compared with abstaining.
