Ideation about new #digitalhealth possibilities from #openai Developer Conference Keynote (obviously would need BAA/etc, the following is just meant for ideation in a world where you could use OpenAI natively with PHI): #1 128k token context window ... you can send about 300 pages of text at once ... not an entire chart, but probably enough for the relevant parts. #2 "Assistants'' ... The demo showed uploading your airplane ticket and airbnb receipt for a trip to Paris (https://lnkd.in/enzMikZM) ... but you could imagine uploading a scanned nursing home transfer summary or EMS runsheet and getting what appears to be structured data back to your FHIR app, quickly. #2 No code custom GPTs ... Basically upload a transcript of your lectures and it will create a "you bot" without any libraries or programming pain. Sam demoed creating a "Startup Mentor Bot" by uploading transcripts of some lectures he gave while at YC and ... bam, it would give responses based on his lectures. Imagine feeding your medical student/resident lectures into this and getting a clone of your educator self. Or maybe even transcripts from Curbsiders Podcast or EMRAP ... custom CME bots without third party plugins, instantly in the OpenAI marketplace. #4 API now has code interpreter hook … Imagine a FHIR app telling OpenAI's server to execute python to do calculations / stats ... ad hoc ... on demand ... without setting up the function in advance. Seems like you can even get charts/visuals/etc produced by the python back. #5 Reproducibility. You can pass a seed and get reproducible responses (I haven't tried yet, essential to healthcare, but the details were a bit sketchy) https://lnkd.in/eXHYvZ3J A lot of the API stuff is live in my personal account ... not the custom GPTs though which should be at https://lnkd.in/emax7pQS per Zapier GPT. The keynote alluded to a blurring of UI and AI, and I imagine this blurring will accelerate by next year's dev conference. Then again, some of it is already here it seems with Notable Health Assistant?

Keynote from OpenAI DevDay — OpenAI’s first developer conference. Samuel Harris Altman opened new dimension in the application development landscape. 'Build with Natural language'. OpenAI is slowly creating an ecosystem where developers/ business users can come and create impactful applications. While this is pretty cool concept, how this can be extrapolated to an enterprise environment is a critical area to understand and reflect. #responsibleai #gpt4 #openai #enterprisearchitecture

Software Engineer @ Adobe | BYU Computer Science Class of 2022 | Former President of BYU Developers Club.
Have you seen the OpenAI DevDay Keynote? Personally, I was blown away at the scale of the announcements. Here's the TLDR: For the new model, GPT 4 Turbo... - 4x the context, 128K(!!!) tokens instead of 32K (equivalent to roughly a 300 pg. book), at ~1/3 the cost per token - Knowledge cutoff updated from Sept. '21 -> Apr. '23, with the promise of more frequent updates going forward - Ability to upload external documents for knowledge retrieval Together with the release of this new model... - OpenAI confirmed rumors that they will be introducing a sort of App Store, where users can create their own customized chatbot agents, or "GPT's", and publish them for public use. - They announced a new "Assistants API", with a built in code interpreter, document information retrieval, and an ability to write and execute code to answer queries that require calculations (goodbye 2 + 2 = 5 hallucinations)! These are just some of my highlights, I'm excited to see OpenAI catching up to the hype they've been experiencing over the past year! Really amazing work.
