Let’s talk about … #banking 💰 Happy Make Money Monday … this is my wallet 🤑, it fits my personality 🤓. And sometime I do think I’m RICH AS F$CK. Question: how is your banking partner REALLY treating your small business? 🤔 💼 As small business owners, we know that every financial decision we make can impact our growth. Yet, big banks often overlook our unique needs, prioritizing larger corporate clients. It’s time to rethink where/how we bank. 💡Here are three eye-opening stats that show why we need to consider local and regional banks or credit unions: 💵 Only 28% of small businesses report that big banks meet their credit needs, while local banks fulfill the requirements of 62% of small businesses (Source: NFIB). 💵 Small businesses get approved for loans at big banks only 13% of the time, compared to a 49% approval rate at smaller, community-based institutions (Source: Biz2Credit). 💵 Over 80% of local banks offer personalized support for small businesses, compared to just 25% at large national institutions (Source: Independent Community Bankers of America). By supporting smaller financial institutions, we ensure that we’re working with banks that care about our success, not just their bottom line. Let’s talk about safety 🌧️ … Safety First for All of Us I made a safety call this morning at 6am as I was heading out of the house to work. The wind was blowing and the rain was falling hard. As much as I wanted to get our day started, I not only have to think about myself but also my team and their families and friends. With it being so dark at 6 AM and flood waters hard to spot, I’m pushing our routes to start at 11 AM today for everyone’s safety. Thanks for understanding and for your patience as we wait for the sun to come up and the roads to clear. Stay safe out there!

Thanks Trish Lindo 🎯 One thoughtful touch from the organizers was providing a photographer for headshots—something many of us might overlook but is so essential in today’s professional world. 💡 As leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs, our headshot is often the first impression we make online. It’s a reflection of our current journey, growth, and the confidence we bring to the table. So much changes as we evolve in our careers, and an up-to-date headshot can reflect that evolution. If you haven’t refreshed your professional photo in a while, this is your sign to make it a priority. It’s a small step that can leave a lasting impact!

Let’s talk about a #handup … ⬆️ Listen to me … I am super excited about the opportunities that receiving this grant will do for The WashRoom Laundry Service! The equipment that we purchased, once installed will enable us to compete with the “big boys” 🎯 This grant was not a hand out but more of a hand up to provide an immediate impact to the business and the community! I’m so very grateful and can’t wait to share more of our work! I was super nervous filming this, can you tell??

Let’s talk about my #littlesister … 💕 Running a small business is no easy feat—you're juggling a hundred things at once and sometimes it feels like you're doing it all alone. But then, there's family—those who step in, often unasked, to be your biggest cheerleaders and to help you keep the dream alive. Have you met my little sister? Sai'Shea McNeill-Cook, M.Ed She's not just a part of my life; she's a part of my business journey. From helping me solve problems to being my “hype man” when I’m down. She’s always there with a smile and a bit of “Get yo shit together”. She often says she learned by watching me, but now, I find myself learning by watching her. 💕 Small business owners often say they do it for their family, but the truth is, sometimes we can only do it BECAUSE of our family. 🎯 To all the sisters out there who are helping run businesses in the background—thank you 🙏🏾.
