Ambani brothers fighting head-to-head in India's EV market? . . India's Reliance Infrastructure is considering plans to manufacture electric cars and batteries, and has hired a former India executive at China's BYD (Sanjay Gopalakrishnan) to advise on its plans. The company has hired external consultants to conduct a "cost feasibility" study for setting up an EV plant with an initial capacity of about 250,000 vehicles a year, to be scaled up to 750,000 over some years. Mukesh's company is already working to locally manufacture batteries and this week won a bid to receive government incentives for 10 GWh of battery cell production. EV sales in India | September 2024 - 1,59,513 units; of which e-2Ws accounted for 89,940 units. 3. Delhi-headquartered EV-based logistics provider ZEVO has secured $2 million in funding from Pegasus India Fund, BizDateUp, JIIF and other investors. The company expects to raise $20 million by January 2025.    4. Ashok Leyland partners with Japan-based Nidec Motor Corporation to develop novel E-drive Motors for commercial vehicles. Ashok Leyland and Nidec will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Electric Drive Units. SAM benefits from Sudeep Pharma’s raw material sourcing capabilities, including Phosphatic Acid. More   6. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has published the operational guidelines for the PM E-DRIVE Scheme. The scheme, which has an outlay of INR 10,900 crores, will be in effect from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2026. Demand incentive of INR 5000/kWH for e-2W/e-3W in FY2024-25 to be halved in FY 2025-26. More   7.VidyutTech has partnered with JSW MG India to launch Battery-as-a-service (BaaS) financing for MG Comet EV, MG Windsor EV, and MG ZS EV passenger cars. Customers will pay a minimum rental fee starting at INR 2.5/km, depending on their battery usage. The starting subscription fee of Rs 2.5/km is for MG Comet EV and varies for other EV models. More
