🌟Advocating for Change: Sakya Foundation's Commitment to Rehabilitation and Dignity 🌟 In alignment with our mission to empower and uplift, Sakya Foundation stands in solidarity with the recent PIL filed in the Supreme Court for the rehabilitation and social reintegration of mentally and physically challenged individuals. The plea, brought forth by KSR Menon, underscores the need for guidelines to provide aftercare facilities for those without support post the age of 18. We believe every individual deserves a life of dignity and care, irrespective of their abilities 🤝 Our Call to Action: Support the framing of guidelines for aftercare facilities. Advocate for maintaining a comprehensive database of individuals in need. Recognize the fundamental right to aftercare beyond the age of 21. 🌐 Join Us: Let's collectively contribute to creating a more inclusive society. Together, we can make a difference and ensure the well-being of every individual. Share your thoughts on this crucial matter and let's raise awareness for a cause that truly matters. 💙 #SakyaFoundation #InclusiveSociety #Rehabilitation #DignityForAll #Advocacy #SocialJustice #InclusionMatters

Effective policy and community engagement are crucial in addressing health inequities. We are committed to advocating for policies that promote health and education equity. But this raises an important question: what comes first—policy change or on-the-ground action? On-the-ground action often brings immediate relief and demonstrates tangible benefits to the community, creating a strong case for policy change. Conversely, policy changes can create a framework that supports sustainable, long-term improvements. What do you think? Should we prioritise immediate, grassroots efforts to address urgent needs, or focus on driving policy changes to ensure systemic, lasting impact? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. #Advocacy #HealthEquity #CommunityEngagement #PolicyChange #PartnersInProgress

Dr. G S Bajpai emphasized at #JIVA2024 while discussing "Victim vs Survivor Centric Approaches" He urged the shift from theoretical discourse to tangible actions that bridge the continuum between treating someone as a victim & empowering them as a survivor. Dr. Bajpai stresses at JIVA Conference 2024 crucial role of shedding societal stigmas & embracing advocacy for change. Highlighting how victims' experiences can catalyze essential legal & social reforms, moving from passive suffering to proactive empowerment. Advocacy is key, says Dr. Bajpai, for transitioning from victim to survivor. Robust programs are vital for empowering individuals to navigate the justice system and reclaim their stories. It's about action, support, and transformation. #AccesstoJustice #ReclaimJustice #IWD #BreakingBarriers #ChangeMakers #VictimToSurvivor #NULD

Forensic Science expert specializing in Cyber Forensic. Combining investigative skills to unravel digital mysteries of the ever-evolving world of cybersecurity.
During the session sir discussed about the, "Theory of Programmed Victims" , Victimization is a learned behavior - some degree is actual, but a lot is tutoring in nature - Programmed victims. Victim centric versus survivor centric is a Dichotomy. Moving from victim to survivor involves taking responsibility for actions and choices, and reclaiming Power. It is seen that a lot of violence is structural violence. Law enforcement in a heterogeneous society is difficult, the first step towards survivor centric approach is acknowledgement of victimization. There is urgent need for "Victim advocacy"- while moving towards survivor centric approach. #madhyapradeshpolice #JIVA2024 #UNwomen

Advocacy is a POWERFUL tool. If you don't know what self-advocacy is - or how to advocate for others - get learning. To be a good advocate is to have responsible control over situations and ensure the best result for everyone around. To be a good advocate is to look after those around you. To be a good advocate is to be a force towards creating environments where people can thrive. Good advocates improve society at large. You can read the NeuroRadio guide to self-advocacy at the link below 👌👌 https://lnkd.in/e_jsUz26 Image Text: Don't wait for change, be the change! This year to mark ‘World Elder Abuse Awareness Day’, HelpAge India’s theme is ‘Creating an Inclusive Eldercare Ecosystem: Catalysing Partnerships’, which focusses on the inclusion of older persons across all spheres whether it be healthcare, economic independence, digital literacy, decision making, etc. Our focus is on – what do elders want? When was the last time they were asked what they need to lead a healthy, happy & dignified life? Their voices & choices? Do you spend enough time with your parents and grandparents? When was the last time YOU asked them how THEY are feeling? It's time we ask ourselves...#PoochhaHaiKabhi? #PoochhaHaiKabhi #WEAAD2024 #WorldElderAbuseAwarenessDay #accessibility #agecare #seniorcare #reforms #advocacy

Good afternoon, everyone! The National Safe and Healthy Housing Coalition (NSHHC) will be hosting virtual visits with congressional offices on Capitol Hill during the week of May 13, 2024. These visits offer both educational and networking opportunities for those interested in supporting healthy housing advocacy. Hill visits are being scheduled and coordinated by the NSHHC and will be conducted over a virtual platform. Virtual attendees will be grouped with other attendees and given opportunities to meet with staff from the offices of their senators and representatives. Groups will be led by policy staff and coalition members who are experienced in conducting meetings on the Hill. Training and materials will be provided before the meetings. No experience with advocacy or policymaker outreach is required to participate – all are welcome to join in the conversation about how to support healthy housing policy! Note that participation in the Hill meetings does not necessarily include lobbying; if you have an organizational restriction on lobbying, we will ensure that your participation in the Hill meetings is strictly limited to policymaker education. You can sign up to participate in the meetings here: https://lnkd.in/eYNW8Cmn Registration is open through April 12, 2024. #HealthyHomes #HealthyHousing #Advocacy #PublicHealth #Appropriations #NHHM24
