As the #CEO of a growing Software Development Company, I've been curious about whether our hiring process is running smoothly or not. Amidst the hustle and bustle of day-to-day responsibilities, I realized that there was a gap in my understanding of the hiring process. Determined to ensure that our process aligns with industry standards and provides a seamless experience for candidates, I decided to conduct a thorough investigation. Stepping into the shoes of an applicant, I applied for a role within our company incognito. I applied within our company using a different name. The response from our HR team commendably swiftly initiated a LinkedIn conversation and a subsequent phone call. Adopting a disguised persona during our conversation was a peculiar, yet enlightening experience. The ultimate reveal triggered a burst of surprise, talk about a laugh riot, haha! But let's zoom out for a moment. It got me thinking - what if every CEO took a plunge like this every year? Not only for gaining hiring insights but also for understanding the day-to-day experiences of our amazing team. It is about putting oneself in their shoes, embracing seminars, certifications, and webinars, and creating a comfortable and friendly work atmosphere. While our experiment revealed some insightful nuances and minor hiccups, it underscored the commitment and dedication of MultiQoS team, which was truly inspiring.
