What's the difference between a Car's Dashboard and a Sales Dashboard? Nothing...they track how far you are going, how fast you are going, and if your car is healthy or notification if it needs service. When I work with teams, most dashboards have "TO MANY" data points. A dashboard needs three gauges: critical daily activities, Weekly Pace, and Tracking toward your commission or KPIs. It needs to be at the point of login to their tool, and it should easily let the salesperson know if they are on track, behind, or WINNING! Most are a bunch of numbers that don't mean anything because leadership needs to speak to the activities that need to happen daily to generate the long-term health and performance of a sales team. One of the most rewarding aspects of being in sales is helping my "champions" look like champions to their leaders and teams. So many of my champions are being measured by this project and its execution. It's easy to overlook the burden they shoulder. 🌍✨ Last week, our senior leaders in commercial came together in beautiful Barcelona for an incredible offsite. In our fully remote setting, it was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect in person, learn together, workshop ideas, and brainstorm on how we can best move forward. Of course, it wasn't all work and no play. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and rooftop cocktails, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona. 🌆🍹 One key workshop organisation method I want to share is the power of a rabbit hole board. 🐰 This simple tool allows you to capture and delegate actions or follow-ups that took us outside of our core topics, ensuring we stayed on course throughout our sessions. I've used rabbit hole boards many times before in a virtual setting, but it was great to see how effectively it worked doing it in a physical form with a flip chart and post it notes!
