Optimizing your profile is a GUARANTEED way to stand out in your job search and be noticed by recruiters 👀 Here are the 4 key steps to improving your profile: 1️⃣ Complete your profile Ensure your profile is updated with a professional profile, your current position (with a detailed description!), at least 2 of your past positions, your education info, and 3+ industry-relevant skills. BONUS: Aim to have 500+ connections to increase your reach! 2️⃣ Write an authentic “About” section Your About section is your elevator pitch. Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay ❤️ Many of the employers we work with have taken the overall health of their team members incredibly seriously in recent years. They try hard to balance the intense pressures of highly measured and stress-filled growth goals, with the well-being of the sales and marketing people tasked with helping meet these targets. According to the 2024 Workforce State of Mind report by mental healthcare organization Headspace, nearly half of employees (47%) and two-thirds (66%) of CEOs in the UK and the US,  say most or all of their stress comes from work. The World Health Organization (WHO), cites around 15% of working-age adults live with a mental disorder. A healthy workspace is a huge contributor to mental wellness. As employers, it is always a good time to check in on your team, support them, and ensure your work environment is rooted in respect. 🌟 Happy 15-year Anniversary to Sarah Gowdy! 🌟 Let’s give a big shoutout to Sarah Gowdy as she celebrates an incredible 15 years with STA! 🎉 Sarah was our very first non-recruiter hire in the Vancouver office, and from day one, she wowed us with her incredible listening skills and can-do attitude. She took on the challenge of documenting our placement, payment, and commission processes, and quickly became the go-to person for our Co-Founders and the cornerstone of STA’s growing team. Starting as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Sarah quickly climbed the ranks to Operations Manager and then Director of Operations! She played a vital role in shaping our Operations department through various transitions over the years. Now, as a busy mom, Sarah works part-time as an Operations Specialist, collaborating closely with our leadership team. She supports everyone with everything from invoicing to IT support—no challenge is too big or small! Sarah’s professionalism, work ethic, and positive spirit make her an absolute joy to work with.
