It's no secret that Salesforce have been flying over the last several years, with the company now being valued at circa $350B. Q3 revenue from this year has also exceeded expectations massively! With those figures in mind, the trajectory has not been as smooth as you'd expect. Earlier this year, Salesforce made mass lay offs, with 1000 people departing from the business. A recent announcement from Salesforce meant that they are now hiring a minimum of 1000 new AE's to sell Agent Force. Is this right right way forward? And is this growth sustainable considering the hiring/firing patterns? Of course, it was all part of their strategy to streamline business operations and stay profitable. However there are also numerous downsides to this, losing a large number of employees whom you have armed with valuable knowledge can lead to disrupted workflows and potential trust issues amongst existing employees. 2025 will be interesting year for sure!

Salesforce instance has been down since this morning. Is this a sign to take a breather and enjoy a little off time, or is there something more serious at salesforce? 🤔 While a temporary disruption can feel like a good excuse for a pause, it’s always important to stay informed and track any updates from the status page or support team. Last week I finalised the process for a business looking to hire a Lead Technical Architect. It was a tough search; with this being their first Salesforce hire, the business didn't know what good looked like, and it took months to find the right candidate. What was more interesting, was one of the key requirements was for the candidate to be onsite 3x a week, and the candidate that was successful hasn't been on the market since the 2022 surge of hiring, so he felt having this policy in today's day & age is slightly dated. As part of my job I had to consult him on the wider market landscape. Whilst most businesses shifted to a remote-first approach in 2021, nearly all have shifted right back, so this is very much 'normal' again. This had me thinking. Do you think we will see another global transition for the work force, like we did in 2020 when everything went remote-first? #salesforce #salesforceecosystem
