Hey Everyone! 👋 So, here's a plot twist in my career story that I couldn't wait to share with you all some time ago i experienced a setback that many of us can relate to - the sting of rejection. After eagerly applying for a position at my dream company, Salesforce, and making it through to the interview stage, I received the disappointing news that I hadn't been selected. Sure, it stung a bit 😔. But you know what? Every setback is just a setup for a comeback, right? 🙌 Instead of feeling down, I'm using this as fuel ⛽ to grow and learn even more. Maybe I need a little more experience before I'm ready to rock it at Salesforce, and that's cool. It's all part of the journey. But mark my words, I'll be there one day! 💼 To anyone else feeling a bit bummed by rejection, just remember: it's not a full stop, just a comma in our story. I emailed Marc Benioff directly to land my first job out of college. The best part? He emailed me back within 3 minutes (well, maybe his EA 😉). One month later I was out in SF for my first interview. Just a few months after that, I moved to SF on my own and started my career at Salesforce. Sure, it was a different era back then. Salesforce was at a much more modest size than today. …and they were still convincing skeptics that cloud computing was safe 😂 At the time, I had no idea that my email to Marc wasn’t just about landing a job. That email set the stage for my career journey. That email opened doors that I never imagined possible. Moral of the story?👇🏼 Having gumption pays off. Daring to chase your dream job or go after the life you want. Having the courage to introduce yourself to someone you admire. Taking the initiative to push yourself outside your comfort zone and take a risk or two. All it takes is one bold move to set the stage for something extraordinary. What’s the worst that can happen? I've spent the last few days trying to come up with a good way to open this post, and still haven't found one that feels right. Better then to just come out and say it: After eight and a half incredible years with one of the greatest companies in the world, I've made the decision to leave Salesforce. This is due to a combination of factors, but namely my persistent difficulty finding success in the TPM role, and situations in my personal and family life that require and deserve my careful and attentive handling. My final day with the company was Monday, March 25th. Though the parting is painful, my strongest feeling in this moment is one of profound gratitude. To go from being a college drop-out, to Salesforce admin, to consultant, to then spend almost a decade working for and with some of the most talented and dedicated professionals in the business, is a career arc I could never have imagined myself on. Words cannot do justice to how thankful I am for the chances I've been given, and the opportunities I've been able to pursue. I genuinely believe that the Signature Success and Service Cloud TPM teams are among the best in the industry, and I'm honored to have spent time among their ranks. At this time, my own future career path is uncertain. Along with being more available for my family, I want to take time to reflect, analyze, and learn from the successes and failures that have led me to this point. I have an amazing opportunity now to really figure out what makes me tick; what my strengths are, where my passions lie, and what kind of balance I want to have between life and work. Whatever my next move ends up being, I know it will be one that aligns to my principles, and enables me to grow and enrich both myself, and those I work for and with. "Vision without action is a daydream; action without vision is a nightmare." I look forward to clarifying my vision for my future. Thank you to everyone who has supported me this far. I can't wait to share with you whatever amazing journeys are coming next.

Five years back, when I joined Salesforce, I had a mixed feeling about my decision. Having worked in smaller companies most of my life on senior roles, my natural progression was towards a C-Level role in a small to mid sized company. But I felt that I was missing exposure to two things, how to innovate at breakneck velocity and how to scale profitably. And more then anything, the connection between work and my interest to give back to the community was at best unsatisfactory, so I decided to give Salesforce a shot. Five year in Salesforce, it feels like the best decision I could have made. Five years of adventure, moving to completely different areas of work, starting from Advanced Technology Innovation to Application Security, five years of working closely with some of the best leaders in the industry and five years of building deep friendship with amazing professionals, all the time feeling proud and humbled with how all our work feeds into the 1-1-1 model directly helping our communities. It is hard to mention every support and mentor in a short note, I will try to mention a few names. Chandransu Choudhury, Rajesh Misquita, Evan Davis, Brett Colbert, Amar Aujla and Sanjay S. for your deep guidance. Faye Olson, Andy White, Ashleigh McCord, Lance French and Ram Balasubramanian for providing opportunities and mentorship, Juan Perez for enabling and supporting me to continuously raise the bar, Jo-ann dePass Olsovsky for mentorship and support on innovation Sebastian Lange for amazing partnership on all things security and Nghia (Doc) Tran for leadership on bleeding edge innovation. These five years have been deeply fulfilling in all aspects. Working at Salesforce transforms you as a human being, while most of us do complain about continuous reorganizations and change in direction, the ability to define your work and goals, the amazing people you engage with everyday and the solid outcomes that make Salesforce a market leader in business and philanthropy, make this company the best company to work for on the planet! #SalesforceAnniversary
