Business Case = Why someone should choose a product - a whole lot of awesome optimized to make it simple for someone to see future value in < 60 seconds. Resume = Why someone should choose you - a whole lot of awesome presented as a list of knowledge/skills. And we wonder why the hiring process isn't working. For anyone. Nate Nasralla I'd be game to apply your business case approach to a resume. We'd just need someone brave enough to break the rules to prove that it works.
I'm loving this graphic. Because it highlights what most people miss: Writing an exec-level business case (left side here) isn't a skill. It's the rollup of a whole lot of skills (right side) working together. Which is why sales leaders just have to read 1 page in a deal, and in < 60 seconds, they'll see exactly where their team's deal + skills gaps are. Lawrence Wayne O'Connor is one of our partners who rolls out Fluint's software to enable all this (shipping him off to Lisbon next week to onboard a new team.) He made this graphic, and it's killer. Last night sales closed a 6 figure, highly competitive deal in 2 weeks - here’s what went down: 1) Slack comms with multiple champions - constant free flow of information 2) ROI documentation that was highly customized to our prospects situation 3) CEO engagement to create trust And actually we closed another 6 figure deal an hour later - here’s how that one happened: 1) Text comms with multiple champions 2) Aligned documentation of SOW across prospect, Maxio, and partners 3) Differentiated features that were required The common factor? Conquering the German market! 🎯 Together with Lukas Tenschert, I had the opportunity to talk about the best go-to-market strategies for the DACH market at the “GTM Germany” event in Amsterdam hosted by We Love SaaS (Formerly SaaS Bazen). Our discussion showed how important it is to understand the nuances of the German market - from the importance of building trust and transparency in sales processes to the special requirements for localizing messages and prices. 3 key takeaways that I would like to share: 1. building trust remains the key to long-term success in the German market. 2. localization of messages and offers is essential to reach the right target groups 3. hybrid strategies such as the combination of PLG and sales-led motion offer great potential for scalable success.
