As IBC - International Broadcasting Convention draws to a close I have been reflecting on what has been a busy, informative and innovative event, shared with HTEC colleagues and our Media & Entertainment experts. Here's a brief overview of my takeaways: 1. The media landscape is undergoing rapid changes and is witnessing a seismic shift with linear TV in decline and streaming reaching record highs. This brings masses of opportunity for tech and digital solutions. 2. Technology and digital solutions must deliver practical, cost-saving applications that make an impact quickly and prove their ROI from launch. 3. Personalization remains crucial, with opportunities to better match content with a viewers' mood for improved experiences. 4. Localization is a key focus.
