🗨️ This morning, our Deputy CEO Pedro Facon chaired a panel discussion on a crucial aspect of healthcare management: how to expand healthcare innovation and policy, based on real health-related needs, rather than focusing on specific solutions, such as pharmaceutical products. By starting from real needs, healthcare organizations can design more effective and holistic strategies to improve patient care and overall health outcomes.   “Pharmaceutical products are just one of the possibilities to fulfil unmet health-related needs; a comprehensive incentive policy should start from real needs rather than from the supposed solutions. Even 1% of the healthcare budget better spent can make a huge difference for many patients.” 🗣️ Pedro Facon   💡 It is important to define the position of pharmaceuticals within a holistic approach. My takeaway from this session was that building needs driven, health-driven systems beyond healthcare needs to include: - patient participation and co-creation - a concern for equity - strong values and rights ... cutting across society, bridging individual and communiy needs, products and practice.
