A few years ago, DonationScout set out to streamline restaurant fundraisers even more with a new ePayments system. We aimed to simplify the payment process with seamless online transactions. However, we discovered that while restaurants wanted online payments, fundraiser organizations preferred traditional checks, despite initially expressing a preference for electronic donations. This aligns with Henry Ford's insight: "If I would have asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse." Often, consumers don’t know what they truly need. This led us to pivot. DonationScout is now acts as an intermediary, allowing restaurants to process payments online, while ensuring fundraiser organizations received physical checks. This experience highlights the importance of iteration in product development. Two weeks ago, I had the incredible experience of attending Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto.
