If I haven't said it enough ... #GoGuard ... this #NationalGuard cyber team rocks! // rant start While not a formal service, the National Guard is fundamental to our national security and considered one of the primary military forces of the United States (https://lnkd.in/eiVwjjxi). In cyber, the National Guard brings a unique mix of military and civilian expertise that is unmatched in ANY US Military Service. How awesome would it be if our nation solved the ongoing challenge of rapidly moving back-and-forth between Active Duty and the Reserve Component? Imagine a time when an airman could move from Active Duty to National Guard for family reasons and then, 5 years later, switch back to Active Duty to complete an active-duty retirement (with the entire process taking a month and without being penalized in any way). Imagine a time when active duty retention NCOs were "compensated" in the same way for retaining someone in the active duty as they were for retaining them in the Reserve Component. // rant end
