The future is digital, and programming is the language of the future… Learning code early for kids has become a gateway to: 1️⃣ Develop critical thinking & problem solving: ↳ Because coding allows children to break down big problems into smaller parts. 2️⃣ Open doors to career opportunities: ↳ Several accounts exist of youthful coders who used their ideas to create software, apps, games, and websites that allowed them to become wealthy at a young age. 3️⃣ Prepare for the Digital age: ↳ By learning to code early, kids are better prepared for the rapidly growing digital era. 4️⃣ Build confidence and ↳ Parents who have sent their children to a FunTech coding class or course frequently say that their child's confidence and communication have improved. 5️⃣ Anything else you'd like to add? P.S. Video of a kid learning programming from me at a young age 😍 #programing #onlinecourses #kidslearning

What are the top coding apps for college students to get ahead? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gqmeC7ca #CodingJourney #LearnToCode #CodingApps #CollegeLife Hey everyone! 😊 So, here’s the situation: I’m currently in college, just wrapped up my basic classes, and I'm diving into computer science now. I’m in the process of switching schools and will be transferring in January. Since it’s a bit late for me to switch to a school that I'd really like, I’m on the lookout for some awesome websites and apps to learn coding while I wait. I’ve heard that there are platforms out there similar to Duolingo, but focused on coding. I want to stay productive during these next few months and get a head start for next semester! 💻 I’m open to paid resources as well—just looking for something that keeps me engaged and sharp. Here’s what I’m thinking about in terms of resources: Interactive Coding Apps: These are super fun and usually have gamified lessons which make learning enjoyable. Online Courses: Websites that offer structured learning paths with video lectures and quizzes could be a great fit. Code Challenges and Competitions: Sites that provide practice problems and cod...

Co-Founder & CEO at imagi | Forbes 30 under 30 | Building the most creative, loved and inclusive way to learn and teach Python programming 👩🏾💻👩🏿💻🧑🏽💻
Uncommon Schools is one of the most recent addition of schools in the US learning coding with imagi ⭐️ I recently had the privilege of visiting Uncommon Schools' North Star Academy in Downtown Newark as part of our imagi coding piloting & implementation work. It's always exhilarating to step back into a school environment and see learning in action. 💡 One highlight of my visit was observing an 8th-grade lecture on the '1% Method' – the concept that daily 1% improvements in any life or work area can yield significant, compounded growth over time. I wish I'd learned about the power of small, consistent efforts in my school days! However, the true magic of the #1percentMethod lies in its deceptive simplicity and the astonishing results due to compounding. To illustrate this, I quickly coded an 'Improvement Calculator' in the imagi app during my visit. Students were shocked to see how far the daily 1% can take you. 🙀 Here’s a specific example: 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟯𝟱𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝟭% 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝟯𝟮𝟬.𝟰𝟵% 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿'𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗱! 🤯 What would you like the improve on in 2024? 💪 The students’ favourites were language learning, fitness & getting really good at video games 🤷♀️
