If you’re having trouble sleeping, here’s my 4 step process that I follow to help 100 of executive clients sleep well. It called REST: 1. Reduce the temperature of your room or your body before you sleep. So either turn on the AC, ventilate your room or take a cold shower before you sleep. Lowering temperature is an indication to your body that you’re ready to sleep. 2. Eat 5 hours before your bedtime. Eating near your bed time forces your body to use the energy it has to heal when you sleep, to digest food. Which disrupts your ability to heal :) 3. Sleep at the same time. When you sleep at the same time every day, your body understands when to secrete the hormones needed for sleep, like melatonin. 4. Take deep breaths and exhale longer than you inhale. Exhaling longer than you inhale makes your body relax your muscles, and you NEED that for great sleep.
