Farmers are facing hidden challenges that often go unnoticed. Resistant pathogens, close contact with animals, and limited protective measures leave farmers vulnerable to serious health risks, including zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). But this reality doesn’t have to be inevitable. Let’s bring these issues to light, and work towards a future where every farmer can thrive safely. #samayu #ajustworld #onehealth #farmers #healthstruggles #supportfarmers #amrawareness

Veterinary Diagnostician | Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness, One Health, Food Safety, and Livestock Health Management | Aquaculture and Poultry Management | Vet Storyteller
Dear Farmers, As temperatures rise, it's crucial to prioritize proper biosecurity measures on your farm. Heat stress can weaken immune systems, making your livestock more vulnerable to outbreaks. By implementing strong biosecurity protocols, you can reduce the risk of diseases spreading. Remember, not all mortality during hot periods is solely due to heat; diseases could be a contributing factor. Proper diagnosis is essential to identify and address any underlying health issues. Stay proactive and keep your farm protected with effective biosecurity practices! #DrOlam #Biosecurity #HeatStress #AnimalHealth #animalwelfare

Farmers play a big role in the fight against dengue and other diseases Even without our knowing about it We just direct our energy towards accusing them their stubble burning for tear in eyes and facing difficulty in breathing #Fogging #fumigation are required to deal with mosquitoes spreading diseases such as #dengue and other ones during this stage every year. #Stubbleburning or farmers putting their leftover from crops after #harvesting to fire proved natural fogging which agencies in the present-day-world accuse for #environmentalpollution otherwise and #healthcomplications to people. Both are health complications people getting affected by #vectorborne diseases and polluted air affecting their #inhalation process resultantly #lungs in the human body and the threat of polluted air getting mixed in #bloodstream hampering in some cases jeopardising normal functioning of different body organs. It is a choice people have to make are they ready to face #smoke in the air for a certain duration of time but the same also coming with automatic protection from mosquitoes who get #hyperactive immediately after monsoons until winter sets in, creating #menace, spreading diseases till then? As far as protection from polluted air is concerned #masks are there for the purpose in the market. Use them judiciously without fail. A machine needs to be clean from inside for its smooth functioning. Not letting air with #pollutants get into our body, we can do a great service to the machine called lungs and further other machines present in our body. It is different #bodyorgans I am referring to here. Use of masks can be a great way adopted from our side in checking efficiency of our lungs. https://lnkd.in/gd4YhWeh

Loteria Card 44: Stagnant water, or "agua stagnada," is a common issue that code enforcement officers encounter, particularly in areas with poorly maintained pools, clogged drainage systems, or neglected properties. This seemingly harmless issue can quickly become a major health hazard, as stagnant water provides the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, which can carry dangerous diseases like Zika, West Nile virus, and malaria. Code enforcement officers work to identify and address sources of stagnant water, educate property owners about the importance of proper maintenance, and take action to eliminate these potential health risks. Many times, we have the privilege of working with our county or supplementary Vector Control. By promptly addressing stagnant water complaints and proactively inspecting properties, code enforcement plays a vital role in preventing the spread of disease and ensuring the health and well-being of our communities. It's always good practice to remind property owners and residents to check pots and buckets for stagnant water. 4LEAF, Inc.
