In microservices, an application is structured as a collection of services: -Deployable on its own -It's loosely coupled Most services are organized around business capabilities, owned by a single team. Using microservices, an organization can deliver large, complex applications quickly, frequently, reliably, and sustainably. #microservices #whataremicroservices

💡 Let’s talk about building scalable and resilient #microservices. To achieve this, it’s essential to understand that: ✳️ Instances of your services should not be treated as special. ✳️ It’s important to avoid bottlenecks and single points of failure. In our latest module on Microservices 101, Wade Waldron delves into this topic and explains: ⚙️ How it works. ✨ Why using event-driven microservices with asynchronous publish/subscribe communication is a good foundation. ⚡The advantages of using #ApacheKafka. Start with coarse microservices, but build with future granularity in mind. The following approach will save you time and headaches down the road! Ensure each service can be split into smaller, more focused components as your product scales. This allows you to start simple while keeping the flexibility for more granularity later on. Fewer services mean less complexity in the beginning, making it easier to manage. As your product grows, you can break down these services into more granular microservices without a complete overhaul. This approach balances the simplicity of monoliths with the future scalability of microservices. By planning for granularity, you’ll avoid the pitfalls of complex inter-service communication too early on. Start simple, but always plan to scale smart. #TechLeadership #FractionalCTO #ScaleUp #Microservices
