The Middle Class Family is suffering most because Traditions Customs are related to them. They have bent down under society. The Upper Class Family is free from these ridiculous things and what they act on, people follow them. The Lower Class Family is also free from Traditional things because nobody knows them. So come out of the mind set of the Middle Class Family. Live and let live.#jogging #marathon #running #marathonrunner #indianmarathon #indianathletics #middleclass

Chicago Marathon Recap: Part 3 of 3 • 🏃♀️ Miles 22-26 Recap! 🏃♀️ • This is where the real fun begins—Welcome to the pain cave! 😩💔 I know the finish line is close, but it feels like it can’t come soon enough. As I push through, I see the 3:35 pacers go by, and I think, “Not today!” 💨 I catch up to one of them and share my struggle. We exchanged names, and he starts pushing me with every step. When he said, “We only have 1.5 miles to go,” it ignited my afterburners! 🔥 • At this point, the lactic acid was building in my fingertips and feet, and I was dying of thirst, just focused on that “hill” at mile 26. • Mile 26-26.2: I make the turn at mile 26, and there it is—that hill! 😱 Flags are counting down every hundred meters until the finish… what a mind fuck that was! In the back of my head, I thought, “Holy shit, I could finish this under 3:35!” But realistically, I was FAR from that goal. I make the last turn onto Columbus Dr., haul ass to the finish, and cross the line with a time of 3:59:24! 🥳🏁 • No matter what happens in the marathon, when your legs get tired, run with your 🩵 • 📸: Marshall Betteron • #ChicagoMarathonRecap #Chicago #Marathon #Recap

Double Run Tuesdays! (run 1 of 2) Playing around with the schedule this week to see if I prefer to take a rest day on Mondays and then do two really easy runs on Tuesdays, as opposed to running seven days in a high mileage week. Always tinkering! 🏃♂️😎👍 #runtraining #runcoachmike #runcoaching #runcoach #marathon

Spending a lot of time in zone two and weekly zone four sessions, so this one was revisiting the often neglected poor zone three. One mile warmup and then 7 miles between a half and full marathon effort in the 84 to 88% HRMax range as a goal. Ended up averaging 7:31 and 84%, which is closer to marathon effort...pretty encouraging and nice to cruise in that zone sometimes (just not too often!) 🏃♂️⌚📈😎👍 #runtraining #runcoachmike #runcoaching #marathon #runcoach

Pete Pfitzinger's Advanced Marathoning and Brad Hudson's Run Faster from the 5K to the Marathon are indispensable resources for runners aiming to elevate their performance. Pfitzinger’s book offers in-depth strategies for marathon preparation, focusing on rigorous training schedules that cater to experienced marathoners. Hudson, on the other hand, broadens the scope, providing insights across distances from 5K to the marathon, with an emphasis on adaptability and the strategic use of speed work. Together, these books champion a personalized approach to training, empowering runners to tailor their plans according to individual strengths, weaknesses, and racing goals. Independent Financial Planning + Wealth Management for Foreign-Born Individuals & Foreign Nationals on Work Visas I 🎙️ Host of The International Money Cafe Podcast
Last weekend, I ran the 3M half-marathon. Lots of volatility at the start. I started way behind from where I wanted to be - it meant, lots of weaving in and out of groups of runners, going at a slower pace. Then there is the agony or beauty of watching the elites disappear around the corner literally minutes after they start - there is a reason they let them go first! It was so cold that I started to wonder if I was truly going to be able to complete the race - not the kind of thoughts you want at the start of a 13.2-mile run. We are not competing with the elites, but every runner had their own strategy. - Go easy at the start, then go hard at the end - Keep the same pace throughout - No strategy - just run and hope for the best etc. A big part of my strategy involves getting past the start volatility, getting over the adrenaline, getting my heart rate to slow down, reminding myself to be patient, and finally settling into my own pace. Around mile 3.5 (5k mark), I had more room to pass slower runners (without having to run in the roadside ditches), and the jitters were over (more or less). I finally settled into my race pace and from there, it was simply one foot in front of the other, enjoying those cheering us on, to the end. Like the stock market and investing, lots of volatility if looking at the short term, which can be very demoralizing, and cause you make risky maneuvers. Instead, look at the whole picture, think long-term, have a strategy, be patient and things are more likely to smooth out. The best part of it is that there is plenty for everyone, and by completing the race, you are a winner.
