The XF-91 Thunderceptor is notable for being the only aircraft ever built with inverse tapered wings, where the wings are wider at the tips than at the root. This unique design feature was intended to enhance stability and performance at high speeds. Only two prototypes were constructed, and the second prototype was equipped with a V-tail configuration. Unfortunately, by the time the Thunderceptor was completed, it had become largely obsolete due to the rapid advancements in jet engine technology.
