The suggested solutions, however, focus solely on the formal education system, which may be the root cause of the issues at hand. What India truly needs is "Shiksha Fifty-Fifty," a blend of both Formal and Non-Formal/ Informal education systems involving children, parents, communities, and senior citizen experts. Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited has been trying for the last 4 years through the Mobile Science Project to increase their interest in science by removing the misconception that science is a difficult subject in 26 government schools of Bap block of Phalodi district of Rajasthan. Recently, during the winter school vacation, additional teaching work was conducted in 7 schools. The efforts being made in the field of science have given a new lift to the spirits of the students. The effect of this is that those students have now started dreaming of becoming doctors and scientists and want to work tirelessly to achieve it. Looking at the self-confidence of rural girls, it seems that they will progress far in the future in the field of science. Mobile Science Lab project is being conducted with 6000+ students from 26 schools. In this, the students studying in class 3 to 10 are not only being explained the application of science subjects in the curriculum in an easy way but are also being made to do the experiment with their own hands. By giving information and doing practical to the students through this type of equipment, scientific attitude is developed in them. In science subjects, concepts can be understood easily by doing practical along with theory. Children are able to understand the concepts better through practicals. If rural children are provided opportunities, information and resources, they can progress far in the field of science. Through this 'Mobile Science Lab' based on innovative experiment-based learning experience, thousands of children are enthusiastically understanding various scientific methods. Physical spaces in schools play a significant role in this endeavor. At Shiksharth, we champion the concept of Building as Learning Aid (BaLA), an innovative approach tried and tested in various schools nationwide. This model enhances learning outcomes and engagement by integrating the local context, allowing children to use their surroundings creatively and engagingly. After trying it in 5 schools in Sukma, we are excited to share our recent collaboration with the government of Odisha and Mantra4Change which will be replicated in 337 schools. This project leverages traditional Saura art and the local context to enrich literacy and numeracy outcomes. Our mission is to create child-friendly learning spaces, where contextual BaLA plays a crucial role. This pilot will be replicated in five districts, impacting 337 residential schools. Abhishek Dubey, a young man raised amidst the fields of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, nurtured a passion for empowering underprivileged children. This passion blossomed into Muskaan Dreams, a non-profit organisation aiming to transform government classrooms into vibrant digital hubs. “My idea was to improve the learning experience of children so that when they enter the classrooms, their interest increases, and they come to school every day,” Dubey explains. Dubey's journey began while pursuing computer science, dedicating weekends to teaching underprivileged children in government shelters. Having faced the ordeals of studying in a government school in a rural area, he could understand the challenges faced by the students. To make digital learning accessible they collaborate with schools to provide them with electronic devices, content, and training for teachers to ensure the adoption of technology. “Our focus is that every child should have digital Shiksha (education) as technology is our future,” he adds.
