IMEX WAS A VIBE 🙈🙉🙊 Despite a non stop speaking schedule and ancillary events I did not leave #IMEXexhausted, but instead filled with #gratitude, #joy, and hope for a brighter future for #people and #planet. Here are my top takeaways 1. Producers need partners to create real impact for the #local #community….. billions of dollars are being spent around around tent pole #events resulting in little more than photos ops for the local community. One thought leader said she feels like a fraud, for this this behavior. Yikes…We need to change this in 2025. 2. The successful launch of #IMPACTXi with Google Experience Institute proved that event attendees and employees want meet ups based on their values, not just demographics. This leads to brand loyalty, #community, and #impact. 3. #Mentalhealth is top of mind. Loneliness, over stimulation, demanding meeting schedules, and lack of healthy foods, water, and mocktails - were some of the call outs we heard. People want options and solutions. Brands that don’t speak to this risk alienating their stakeholders and losing market share. Bonus- #Changemakers and #purposedriven #leaders need not worry about the blockers/haters and getting it all accomplished in this life time. Instead keep pushing with an armor of integrity, #purpose, self love, #community, and alchemy. The goal is to reach the tipping point. As 2024 comes to an end, last Thursday’s Year-End Celebration gave us a special opportunity to reflect on a year of remarkable achievements and shared purpose. The day began with our Local Talk, a key moment for connection and dialogue. This quarterly event brings together support teams and hotel General Managers, fostering collaboration and alignment. Last week’s edition was particularly meaningful as we reflected on the progress made in 2024 and discussed the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in 2025. It’s always inspiring to see how these exchanges strengthen the collective intelligence that drives us forward. In the evening, the Year-End Celebration truly lived up to its name. Beyond the joy and camaraderie, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Awards Ceremony, where we had the chance to honour the exceptional efforts and accomplishments of our teams.
