To mark the arrival of our PA24 collection, we are exploring its casual as well as eye-catching styles with the Daily Life campaign – a conceptualised version of everyday scenarios. Sparkling silhouettes and denim-on-denim looks are shown besides objects, modern pieces are contrasted with retro ones, and styles that match the setting are juxtaposed with ones that seem out of place for the situation at hand. The collection encompasses both the timeless essentials we are known for as well as exciting styles such as sheer dresses and tops with recycled sequins and vibrant patterns on classic menswear shirting. Crafted with high summer in mind, swimwear and lightweight designs stand at the centre of the line and are completed with perfect layering pieces to accompany the wearer across any time of day, weather, or occasion.

Tailor & Personal Stylist | Savile Row & Fulham | Transforming the Look and Confidence of Busy Professionals
Wardrobe Essentials: The Versatile Gilet When it comes to menswear, few pieces combine practicality and style quite like the gilet. Whether in technical fabrics for an urban edge or in luxurious wool for a classic touch, the gilet is a key layering piece that every man should have in his wardrobe. At Grant & O'Sullivan - Tailors, we believe that style is about more than just looking good—it's about functionality, versatility, and timeless appeal. A well-chosen gilet does just that. For those days when a full jacket feels too much but you still need that extra layer, a gilet steps in perfectly. The technical fabric options provide a modern, sleek look, ideal for those unpredictable British weather days or a city commute. On the other hand, a wool gilet adds an element of sophistication, perfect for layering over a shirt or under a tailored coat for a refined, smart-casual appearance. Styling tip: Pair your gilet with a crisp Oxford shirt and slim chinos for a sharp, polished look, or throw it over a lightweight knit and denim for a more relaxed vibe. The beauty of a gilet is in its adaptability, making it suitable for both off-duty weekends and smart-casual office days. (Finance bros across the City have already embraced... and arguable overdone the humble Gilet!)

Summer Trends to look out for in 2024! 1. Masc/Fem Dressing At the back end of last year there's no denying that skirts seemingly replaced trousers as the everyday go-to, but while denim midisundoubtedly reigned supreme for AW23 it seems that for SS24 the skirt is having something of an hyper-feminine update. Think ultra mini, super sheer or flowing an elegant, this skirt is an integral part of an overall aesthetic trend which will be huge come spring: Masc/Fem Dressing. Crucially, the pairing piece for these skirts is no longer a cute cropped cardigan or a sexy vest. Instead, think oversized shirts, menswear sweaters & bulky blazers. 2. Business Casual Versatile Pieces: Business casual attire often prioritises versatility, with pieces that can easily transition from the office to after-work events. This could include tailored separates like blazers and trousers that can be dressed up or down. Relaxed Silhouettes: While tailored pieces are still a staple of business casual attire, there's been a shift towards more relaxed and comfortable silhouettes. This could include looser-fitting trousers, oversized blazers, and flowy tops. 3. Sheer Whites Sheer white clothing has been a timeless and versatile trend, often associated with elegance, femininity, and a sense of airiness. In recent years, we've seen designers experiment with sheer fabrics in various silhouettes, from flowing dresses to tailored tops and even athleisure-inspired pieces. 4. High Rise Trousers Perfect for everything from officewear to dinners, date night to days out, the high-rise rule can be splashed out across your entire trouser repertoire whether you're wearing jeans, sweats or tailoring. Invest in a great, timeless belt to elevate the look completely. 5. Slouchy Bags Slouchy bags never went anywhere, but maybe there’s a Serena van der Woodsen-comeback in the works. The cool, effortless bags can also fit almost anything you could need, and with the on-the-go look being hot on the spring/summer 2024 runways. #bemedia #summerstyle #fashiontrends #summervibes #trendingnow

While Burberry is going through all those shenanigans directly related to Mr. Lee's ego, ERDEM has released its collaboration with Barbour, and it looks great (please see below). If you are in the market for a new spring coat, the new trend is lovely: colorful and cozy quilted outerwear. This collection spearheaded great interest in the fabric. Currently, with Bionce's cowboy direction, what do we do first? Right, revisiting Ralph Lauren, and voilà—one of the nicest quilted jackets/coats is there. The direction was picked up on the FW24 runway by many. Specifically, this is the work of the design duo Luke and Lucy Mayer, who showed one of the strongest collections of the season. The new Jil Sander line largely consisted of quilted “bedspreads” of satin and velvety texture, from which the designers sewed jackets, coats with voluminous sleeves, which are more often found on dresses than on outerwear, as well as cocoon capes. The designers managed to imitate quilting even on fur. Explaining their obsession with texture, the Mayers said they wanted to give us "comfort in times of crisis" and create an "enveloping feeling" for us. Quilted like a baby blanket, the fabric is perfect for these purposes. The trend was visible in more than one collection. Susan Fang, Todd Snyder, and a few others showed it. It was suggested to wear quilted fabric on the catwalk in a few ways, including as a middle layer, under a coat. This technique will come in handy now, while only the calendar speaks of the coming spring. But in general, over the few years that quilted outerwear has remained a fashionable top, there are no more secrets on what to do with it: it goes well with literally everything. Quilted fabrics (in my opinion) are underappreciated; they have an image of "old women'' brands and "old women'' wear—usually purchased at a street fair. In reality, it is a great way to incorporate prints, to make a coat light, and relatively inexpensive fabric would let you do a lot in terms of styling the garment. It can be super casual or dressy, or you need to make prints more interesting (placement prints, minimal prints, embroidery, etc). #wwd #bof #fashion #fashiondesign #design
