Huawei's XMC-80D, a next-generation 2T E-band outdoor unit (ODU), has clinched the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award for its outstanding product design and technological prowess. This achievement marks the second time Huawei's microwave products have been honored with these global accolades, underscoring the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in the E-band solutions sector. The XMC-80D stands out for its advanced optimization algorithms which enhance coding efficiency and spectral utilization, delivering up to 25 Gbps bandwidth in a single box through dual-channel and dual-polarized transmission. This powerful solution is capable of supporting speeds up to 50 Gbps on a single E-band link, significantly reducing the hardware required while boosting capacity by 150% compared to existing E-band solutions. These capabilities make it more than sufficient to meet the demanding bandwidth requirements of 5G and 5.5G technologies.
