There are various motivations for engaging in programming: -Professional Development: Many individuals pursue programming primarily to secure employment, which is the most common reason I have observed. -Hobbyist Interest: Others engage in programming as a hobby, finding joy and satisfaction in creating and experimenting. -Exceptional Talent: Then there are individuals like René Rebe , who notably developed an entire USB driver from scratch in just three hours for the Apple Xserve front panel. 👽 ✨ #innovation #curosity #dedication #tech #coding https://lnkd.in/gbpDTZUN

I fell in love with computers many decades ago as a bedroom coder, programming a clone of the famous ZX-Spectrum 48K. Recently, I managed to recover some of my earliest work from an old audio cassette. Below is a mini-game, that I created as a teen, called "Atomix," written in BASIC with a mix of Z80 assembly — some of which I coded myself, while other parts were disassembled from existing games. The game is in Romanian. That early experience sparked my passion for technology and set the foundation for my career, driving me forward to where I am today. ⌨️Tech professionals: I’d love to hear your stories from those early days! What was your first computer? What programming language did you start with? Or do you have any fun memories from that era? Share your experiences!
