And finally, that's a wrap! Here is my final installment in a three-part blog series on the topic of 'Evaluating Spatial Audio'. In this final piece, I dive deep into the process and approach we at Ceva, Inc. took to conduct a competitive analysis between different spatial audio product systems. Our hope is that by sharing this, we can provide a systematic and repeatable framework that anyone can follow, or even customize and build upon, to evaluate and get the most out of their spatial audio experiences. Spatial Audio is a personal, psychoacoustic phenomenon where we trick the brain into thinking it's hearing sounds from headphones and TWS as if they were coming from the outside world. How can you effectively measure, evaluate, and compare such a complex, subjective effect? We've been working on direct measurements, structured listening tests, user studies, and research projects to do just that.
