𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐀𝐈) 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐔𝐒𝐃 𝟑𝟓.𝟕𝟏 𝐁𝐧 𝐁𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟑 Our recent discussion of the future of automotive IT at our 16th annual Future of Automotive IT conference at the University of Michigan showed the many applications of #AI across the complete #automotive value chain from R&D to consumer’s driving vehicles with AI support.  Given these many opportunities, it’s no surprise that the Relevance #Research estimates for future automotive AI spending across regions and by type of technology is enormous over the next 6 years.  We noted the many risks of AI in our previous post, but the opportunities may outweigh any negative aspects.  Looking forward to some AI excitement in the future.  We’ll be tracking AI’s progress in our upcoming conferences in 2025.

Determine the depth of a repair before it even begins with AI-enhanced repair planning. We’re back with another asTech insight of the Week, where we share real repair recommendations our customers have received, generated by asTech insights, the industry’s first and only AI tool for collision repair. This Week’s Vehicle: 2022 Toyota Venza From the pre-scan, asTech insights identified multiple faults signaling the loss of communication with a front-distance range sensor. Knowing this, the technician can diagnose the system first to determine if a wire is broken or if a module is smashed. Additionally, the pre-scan informs the technician of the need for a calibration, which could be done statically or dynamically. With all of this information, the technician is able to acquire all of the necessary parts and get the calibration on one estimate, without supplements at the back end of the repair. #AI #RepairPlanning

This one blew my mind!... 🤯 Over the weekend, I started reading 'Scary Smart' by Mo Gawdat. It's a fantastically eye opening book around the future of Artificial Intelligence and what we can do to save the world. In the early chapters of the book, Mo discusses how in the future, self driving cars will always be the safest way to drive as technology and AI advances. Way more safer than how we drive today with us humans behind the wheel. That is because... If a human being is involved in a car crash or an accident, the human being learns what to do or not to do the next time they are behind the wheel. This will hopefully prevent a similar accident from happening to that person in the future. If a self driving car is involved in a car crash or an accident... Thanks to AI, the car learns what to do or not to do the next time, so does the manufacturer, so does every other self driving car that is on the road from that manufacturer and so too does every future self driving car around the world that hasn't been made yet by the manufacturer. Wow!! When you think of it like that, things are going to change even faster than they are at the moment very very soon indeed! What do you think about the future of the world with respect to AI?
