The Ustoz-Shogird project has come to an end. It was very busy and productive three months. And now the moment when I can share my experience within the framework of this project.has come. At the very beginning, participants were asked to choose one of four projects: KapitalBank, LockerPost, TalentLab and UzCarlsberg. I decided to join the UzCarlsberg team. My team and I had to develop training for the sales department of this company that would increase sales and solve some problems that arose in the company. At first, the work proceeded very passively: the guys did not understand what needed to be done, what result we wanted to achieve and what we should ultimately achieve. Some simply didn’t want to work, others decided to move to another team. In the end, out of 20 participants in the telegram chat, only 5 remained. But I knew that under no circumstances should I give up and the project must be completed on time. We gathered with the remaining team members and began active work. I was lucky that it was a motivated group of five, aimed at success. We completed the research in 3 weeks and had 2 weeks left to develop the training structure and prepare the presentation. I would like to note that in addition to this, all the guys study at universities, are engaged in social activities, and some also work. So it was really hot five weeks. But despite all the difficulties, we completed the project on time. However, that's not all. We hoped that we would be allocated 12 minutes for the presentation, but later we were informed that only 7 would be allocated. It was necessary to show the results of the research, explain the reason why the company needed the project, describe the structure of our trainings, explain what is unique about our project and what resources needed to implement our trainings. And all this in 7 minutes. My partner and I began to quickly prepare our speech: regular ZOOM conferences, rehearsals and amendments. And then day X came. The presentations of the four projects were to be held in turn and at the end, the guests of the event, among whom were HR directors and other business representatives, had to vote for the best, in their opinion, project in which they were ready to invest. All teams performed very well and when all the presentations came to an end, HRD began to vote. What do you think? Our project was recognized as the best and received the most votes. The team and I were very happy that all our efforts were not in vain. I am very grateful to our Mentor ( Ekaterina ) and supporter ( Muhammad ) for assistance and supervision. And moreover, I would like to thank Alena Vladimirskaya and other organizers of Ustoz-Shogird project for such a cool and useful experience!

CIBSE - Charismatic Innovators Bringing Spectacular Engineering ✨️ Right, OK, no it doesn't stand for that, but I still think my version is so much cooler. It was absolutely fantastic attending the CIBSE North West Young Engineers Network summer social last night in Manchester. What I love the most about these networking events is that I am always mixing with both young graduates and senior principals/directors. The conversations are so fun, I'm trying to come up with a powerful networking technique. Here's the rules I have drafted so far: ➡️ 1. Go alone: This will force you to speak to new people instead of keeping to your circle. ➡️ 2. One person rule: Having at least one person to talk to won't make you look like a weirdo & will build momentum to jump to the next person. Look around & get that first person as soon as you can. ➡️ 3. It's all in the handshake: Approaching new people isn't the easiest thing in the world if you are an introvert like me, but what helps is a great handshake. Stand up, have a strong handshake & keep eye contact. ➡️ 4. It's all about them: Turns out there's a lot you can ask a stranger "what do you do?" "how long have you been in that company for?" "what does your company do?" "Are you into football?" don't speak about yourself too much, keep them in the spotlight, they will like you more. ➡️ 5. The golden 5 people rule: I never leave until I've exchanged contacts with at least 5 people. That's my minimum networking threshold. LinkedIn is great for that. Nobody has business cards anymore, everyone takes their phone out and adds you on here. It's great! Networking is so powerful. One thing always leads to another😊 A clever person once said "You are only 1 person away from reaching your goals, and you don't know who that person is"

Networking is a concept that involves creating and maintaining a network of professional contacts who can provide support, share knowledge, and open doors to new opportunities. In the context of innovation, networking is especially crucial for the following reasons: ### Concept of Networking Networking refers to the process of building strategic professional relationships that are mutually beneficial. These relationships can be formed through interactions at conferences, events, workshops, social networks, and even informal meetings. ### Importance of Networking in Innovation 1. **Exchange of Knowledge and Ideas**: - Networking facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge among individuals from different sectors and disciplines. This can lead to new perspectives and innovative solutions that might not be considered within a single field. 2. **Access to Resources**: - Having a solid network can provide access to resources essential for innovation, such as funding, technology, and technical expertise. Knowing the right people can open doors to these resources more efficiently. 3. **Collaboration and Partnerships**: - Innovations often result from successful collaborations. Networking can help identify potential partners with complementary skills or who can significantly contribute to an innovative project. 4. **Identification of Opportunities**: - Through networking, it's possible to stay informed about the latest trends and identify emerging opportunities in the market. Being connected with others in the industry can provide valuable insights into where the greatest innovation opportunities lie. 5. **Support and Mentorship**: - A strong network can offer emotional support and mentorship, which are crucial for overcoming the inherent challenges of the innovation process. Experienced mentors can provide guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement. 6. **Increased Visibility**: - Being well-connected can increase the visibility of a person or organization. This can be key to gaining market recognition and attracting attention to new ideas or innovative products. 7. **Continuous Development**: - Networking can be a constant source of learning and professional development. Attending events and connecting with other professionals can help stay updated on best practices and new techniques. In summary, networking is an essential component of innovation, providing a platform for exchanging ideas, building strategic partnerships, and accessing critical resources. #cambridgeuniversity #Innovation #TechInnovation #DisruptiveInnovation #InnoTech #FutureOfWork #InnovativeThinking #DigitalTransformation #InnovationLab #SmartTech #CreativeInnovation

HFES Day 2: Exploring Human-Machine Teaming and Getting Business Cards Another enriching day at the HFES conference, diving deeper into the realm of human-centered work. With my interest in pursuing a master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), I seized the opportunity to attend a series of enlightening lectures under the theme "Trust and Reliability in Human-Machine Teams." One lecture that resonated with me was "The Impact of Example-Based XAI on Trust in Highly Technical Populations." This session delved into how AI systems, recommending actions such as oil pipe repairs, could build trust within highly technical domains. In "Interpersonal and Human-Automation Trust in Underwater Mine Detection Tasks," I gained valuable insights into the complex interplay between human trust and automated systems. This lecture highlighted our tendency to place unwavering faith in automation, and the consequences when these systems make errors. The discussion revolved around evaluations involving human co-commanders, AI systems, and the occurrence of false alarms. "Relationship between People's Mental Programs and Trust in Automation" was yet another eye-opener. It sheds light on how our biological, cognitive, and societal factors contribute to our trust in automation. The subtle influence of oxytocin release on our trust levels with automation is a fascinating topic that warrants further investigation. The day concluded with an opportunity to attend an early career practitioner reception, providing a platform for meaningful networking with peers sharing similar aspirations. Networking Tip: Invest in Business Cards One valuable networking tip I've learned is the importance of having business cards. If you are currently employed, consider asking your manager for company business cards before attending a conference. For students or job seekers, having your personal business cards adds a touch of professionalism and offers a tangible way for others to remember you. I can vouch for the quality of Moo business cards. If you're interested, here is a 25% discount link to get you started: https://lnkd.in/geSHcM85

Founder @ ImagineThat 🌎 The Business School for Digital Nomads & Solopreneurs ➔ I help corporate professionals start their own online service so they can work for themselves & work from anywhere | Join the Academy
"I want to start working for myself and create a career that gives me more freedom. But I don't know how." I hear these words on a regular basis. The problem is we often come up with 101 problems before we have even tried. To start you need: - A laptop - An internet connection - A skill / strength / area of expertise that can be delivered online - A point of differentiation - A belief that you can make it work Don't overthink it. Over-thinking is the enemy of doing. Just start. Pick someone to test your service on, gather feedback and see if you can start offering it to more people. If one person finds value in what you are doing, chances are 10, 100, 1000 people will. ** Found this helpful? The next ImagineThat Academy starts in September covering the why, who and what of starting an online services business. Message me if you want to join. #workfromanywhere #onlineservices #solopreneurship
